Aaaah, the comedic philosopher, George Carlin. You have to check out, "You Have No Rights." His stand-ups are decades old, but still so relevant.

@@g1g4_ch4d7 I am an unaffiliated voter. There are two main differences I see between why ppl who go into politics, those who have a servants heart and those who have huge egos. It’s not a perfect or even fair system but it’s the one I am willing to participate in by voting in hopes that change is on the horizon. The fate of our Republic’s very democracy hangs in the balance with the fallout from “the big lie” nonsense. It is a dangerous time for Americans to be openly apathetic abt voting!

@christinaw2518 2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanolsen294 Trollling is petty. Also, Trump’s apathetic failed COVID-19 response in 2020 w/misinformation contributed to hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths. Why he put Pence and Jared Kushner in-charge of it (which neither had qualifications for the task) instead of listening to the NIH pre vaccines lead to millions of families losing healthy loved ones. Including me, both my 104lb healthy Mama and 30 y/o healthy pregnant BFF since childhood Brianna died a painful death alone in hospital isolation. Bri never even got to meet her long prayed for baby girl. The hospital chose to do a c-section while she was on life support 11 weeks early. Bri was taken off life support 6 days after her daughter’s birth. In less than 6 months I lost my Mama and my BFF so this isn’t a fucking political game to me! My heart was shattered forever! A few months after my Mama died I was wearing a mask in the grocery store and a grown ass man in his 50’s, who was a stranger, started yelling @ me that I was a “retarded sheep”. I was so upset I left my shopping cart the store and bought nothing. I didn’t say anything to the man but I went to my car and wept for 30 mins. I don’t understand why a stranger felt so angry @ the site of me shopping in a mask that he felt the need to be cruel and embarrass me when I never asked anyone to wear a mask. You never know the pain a stranger is going through and to go out of your way to be cruel is petty. God doesn’t like ugly.

He wasn't just any other comedian, he was a *philosopher,* actor, author and social critic and a very smart man. Born and raised as a *New Yorker,* and was known for his black comedy and reflections on politics, English language, psychology, religion and various taboo subjects. He and his *"7 dirty words"* comedy skit(which was a pretty funny and relatable one and recommended) were central to the 1978 U.S. Supreme court case F.C.C. v Pacifica Foundation, in which a 5-4 decision affirmed the government's power to regulate incident material on the public airwaves. And widely regarded as one of the most important and influential American stand-up comics *OF ALL TIME,* and not to mention he dubbed by the newspaper to be *"the Dean of Counter culture comedians".* The guy said a lot of facts and yet was funny about it at the same time, told it like it is and wasn't afraid to speak his own mind and was a true comedic legend. Keep the George Carlin videos 😎

He was HBO first one they signed. Mainly cause he was only one that took chance. He was told he was not being sensors by FCC. So he took 3 months to create hour special. He then went on a tour for months doing his new show that was only cause HBO non sensorship. He was able to do 12 13 years of being The main Guy. He morphed and still used his regular buts but refined them and was able to expand his thoughts. He just flowed ahead of the bull he had already seen.

@TexMexMatt You can disagree but I would appreciate that you do it respectfully. George Carlin used highbrow humor to enlighten ppl to the hypocrisies of American life, religious institutions, government corruption, racial discrimination, income inequality, gender bias, climate change, the modern day slavery in the privatization of prisons during the failed “War on Drugs” which was the impetus of militarizing local police agencies with DEA money. He was using entertainment to wake ppl up! To be aware of what was really going on just like rap artist did and continue to do with their lyrics. I was recently listening to Jay Z’s new song “God Did” and he is doing the same thing. He is philosophical while spitting bars. I highly recommend it

@TexMexMatt Don’t flatter yourself, I am not trying to educate you. I am a millennial, I have been trying to engage my friends/peers since college. I am concerned abt what I see as apathy from Gen Z towards the issues our country is facing like protecting our very Republic’s democracy. We must ensure that free and fair elections in the US is of the utmost importance. I hope to enlighten someone who might read the comments and decide that they want to register to vote. Or possibly look up one of the issues I mentioned for themselves and decided to become an activist, a voice for the marginalized. Or maybe no one will see it but I wanted to put it out in the ethos anyway.

If you all want to watch something in private that you all will be dying watching. George Carlin used to do the narration for Thomas the train, he has a bunch that he narrated for adults. Omg it’s hilarious! Definitely worth Checking out!! I’m from upstate NY I met George Carlin in Kingston, NY . Absolutely very Down to earth really nice guy. Extremely intelligent. He was definitely one of the greats that was never scared to talk about all the messed up things and people that are on or running this planet. He would have a lot of material today! The amount of people who distrust the government is at an all time high, yet the people who pay them , vote them into office, just accept that they are the most crooked dishonest people on the planet. Still people think every election that somehow things will be different. I don’t get it ? Are people that manipulated and brainwashed? Try not watching mainstream media or cable, try using your brain to remember things, don’t depend on your cell phone to answer and do everything for you. Learn to do basic maintenance on your own vehicle and how to navigate the town you were born in without a navigation system. Common sense is disappearing either on purpose, by design or maybe a side effect of technology and convenience. Either way there’s no doubt that the dumbing down of society is real. If you possess common sense, share it with whoever you know before it’s lost forever. Can you imagine they will tell you that ancient Egyptians had help from aliens because theirs no way they couldn’t have been that precise and move those huge stones. Because man today can’t accomplish the same thing. How arrogant to say they couldn’t have done they themselves? Of course they did , there’s no question. It’s been proven. The same thing when people ask why we haven’t been back to the moon? The technology somehow is lost over time and we no longer know how? What? ! Has anyone seen what the newest cell phones are doing? And we can’t get to the moon? How ridiculous, I don’t understand why they blatantly lie and expect to be trusted? When you have a divided government who cannot get along or work together, you have a divided country who can’t get along and work with each other. The system is so far broken and set up to for failure it’s no wonder we have the problems we do. The leaders of great countries are still going to war and murdering hundreds of thousands in the name of freedom, power, fighting for resources and land! Our god is better than your god, our way of politics is the best way and the rest of the world should follow us because we obviously know everything and have no problems. Sad that the very thing we all need to survive are being destroyed for money and greed. What good does any amount of money if you are dead? If something doesn’t change , the human race is destined to be extinct, we all know about history and our past. There’s been major events that have wiped out entire civilizations, I’ve ages , most living things on our planet were killed by a meteor at one time. Why are we so comfortable and convincing that it won’t happen again as it has for billions of years? In the big scheme of things our existence, human civilization has only been here for a blink of an eye. It’s believed that there were many civilizations before ours and many great resets, where the earth is wiped clean of all life and everything starts over again. Maybe next time we will get it right and live life of peace and harmony with no social classes, no currency to separate ourselves. Everyone works together and has a purpose and everyone is taken care of as long as they fulfill their purpose. No crime or drugs, no prisons. People who break the rules or hurt others will be recycled. It may sound harsh but if you ask me, what’s going on around the world is insane. We place value on insignificant things and take everything for granted. Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone, neither is the life that you have known your whole life. Do you think the people who were killed during the holocaust ever imagined that such horrific atrocities could ever take place? Yet they did! I sure hope something serious changes guys. Sorry to babble on but it’s for real. I’m so thankful for channels like yours that allow us to share emotions with each other and escape if only for the length of a video, from the daily stresses we are all experiencing. Take care guys. I look forward to seeing more of your great content.
