I am a Trinidadian living in Florida. George is my favorite comedian. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything. He is on point. Whether you agree with him or not, he fearlessly delivers. He has a host of others. Like “We like war “ and “Saving the planet.” Try them.

I'm an American. I'm not offended by the truth. And Carlin called it like he saw it. Not EVERYBODY in the U.S. is fat... but one hell of a lot of them ARE. And dumb? No contest. Not only are we ignorant, we're PROUD of it.

Honestly... spent 49 nears on this here planet... can't disagree with anything he said. Trini here as well. Been to the US, lived there for a while. Also lived all over Europe. People need to wake the fuck up.

American here. Currently overweight. This rant was not too far from the truth at the time, and still not far from the truth now. If we get offended when our mistakes are pointed out, then we never change. Love this man's stand-up routines.

George Carlin was never out to offend anyone. But he was occasionally out to shock you a little bit. There are two George Carlins that he is constantly switching between, and it's important to distinguish between the two. Because there is George Carlin the Comedian, and then there is George Carlin the Philosopher. He switches seamlessly from one to the other. So for example, when he is joking about how obese women take a shit, that is clearly Carlin the Comedian. That is basically just a fart joke made uncomfortably vivid 💩 There's nothing to be offended about. But that whole first half of this clip is a sequence of jokes from Carlin the Comedian that gradually and very elegantly leads the way for you to be introduced to Carlin the Philosopher. The entire last half of the clip was a rant. A wake up call to the masses. And a masterful one at that. The Comedian was the opening act for the Philosopher to take the stage and get real with you.

There is no loss of free speech, people just need to stop self-censoring themselves. Have you never noticed how the people who are claiming to being censored/having no free speech are the loudest and vile people on any platform and do not seem to have any problems getting their speech out to the people And btw, there has never been this much free speech in the World by any measure, stop living in a bubble

I'm not sure, not convinced that 'offending' people is some terrible thing, some harmful danger that people ought to be protected from... And I'd say it's more accurate to describe what Carlin does as 'confronting' us rather than 'offending'... And many of us need to be confronted with some different ideas, fact, points of view... Offence is taken, not given. Getting upset about being offended is, in my opinion, a weak, lazy and self-indulgent luxury that should be ridiculed and laughed at, not used as an excuse to stifle and silence discussion of things we'd rather not hear about or deal with. I do admit, Carlin was not scared to take it pretty far at times!!! Love your George Carlin reactions so far, eagerly looking forward to more!! Keep up the great work!
