The night I saw him, almost half of the audience got up and left within the first 30 minutes, leaving me to wonder who they thought they were going to see - unless they were all members of the same sanctimonious church and wanted to demand their money back just to deprive him of it! Personally, I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair! I had been a fan since the late 60's so it was a joy for me to see him live. I laughed all the way home and still remember the things that made me laugh so hard. There will never be another like him.

Fun Factoid. Carlin doesn't hate everything. He built his whole act around it to intentionally trigger a group since he found groups bad since it devalues individuality thats why you rarely hear him use an individual as a source. He lure in a group with being as borderline offensive as possible then conclude with something wholesome to end the stand up at a stalemate or positive setting. He pointed out in an interview individuals are fascinating but when you lump them in a group they adapt to it and you can barely see what's special with that someone anymore like cancel culture. Thats why his stand ups leave a good taste since its so relevant now coz of the divide everybody has nowadays.
