George is far beyond most comedians. He is intellectual beyond most of his peers. He is very thought provoking.

He's so common sense about it too. He points out things that I've noticed but never put into words. He can make me feel stupid with how simply he phrases things that nobody else thinks about. Like gosh why didn't I think of that in that way, it was in plain sight but I skipped over it! Love him

He would be a progressive, most likely. But he would be like Chapelle, and call them out when they start going down the wrong path. He would also relentlessly point out how hypocritical and idiotic the current right wing is.

"Life Is Worth Losing", Carlin's final HBO special before he "passed away" is his most mind-opening and least funny, with very long gruelingly honest setups, based on his understanding of the world from the hard edge of the entertainment community where he always stuck it out, to light punchlines that leave you very conscious of how honest the setup was. He really wanted to leave us with some uncensored real wisdom, I think.

George was simply a genius. Damn near everything he said was the truth. He may have had a humorous spin on it, but in the end everything he said he was the truth. Just back up and look at it, it was true. I just wish he was here to see the shit our country is in and to tell it like it is. If you want a specific on that, look up George Carlin similarities. The skit starts out talking about our differences, which most are made up by the government and media (the "ruling class"). Sadly what he talked about 15-20 years ago is the truth more so now than any other time.

what i love about people first viewing George Carlin is seemingly the same (sadly): you want to laugh (and you rightfully so), but eventually everyone i watch who is "first watching" (after the laughs turn to giggles turn to serious attention) eventually there's a somber silence while they get caught into actually watching, listening, and "taking it in" what he's presenting.. and there's a seemingly common look on everyone's face: serious listening, no smiles.. George Carlin had a unique (and sadly now very missed) skill at presenting truth to power that captures your attention to reality.. and it's at those moments (and he had many of those in his entire career) that you are hearing truth to power/reality.. and here we are, 12 years after his death (less than 4 months before he died of heart failure) taking this particular "comedy/reality" show to the world showing he was prescient and a brilliant, sadly missed, human! THANK YOU for taking the time to watch this! his final show: "It's Bad For Ya"!

I believe the idea of swearing on a bible was probably the court's way of intimidating people and assuming that people might lie to the court... but not to god. It was a once and for all scare tactic that was started in an age when religion had far more meaning and pull in society.

He has far more in common with the left than the right. He wouldn't give a fuck if anyone disliked his anti pc material and I'm pretty sure he would have a lot of shit in a new special about Trump. As if he wouldn't call all the fucking laws he keeps breaking not to mention those evangelicals that now call trump a fucking god. Attacks against AOC are constant by the people who he was calling out as owning the fucking country. Electing one of those so-called billionares would be one of the things he called out as to why Americans who struggle every day are stupid.Carlin is one of the most independent smartest thinkers who wouldn't even entertain the thought of that life-long con man as being anything but being a greedy selfish narcissist. This very video of him going in on "WHITE FASCIST AMERICA" which makes him sound more like a liberal than one of the "others" that caused death in charlottesville 2017. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHnRanSNjrpjfsk where he calls out wall street and especially The koch brothers who practically own most in the GOP as was proven when Paul Walker's recorded call once leaked and everything he was told to do "yes sir". They spent $122 million in 2012 to help Romney win or Obama lose doesn't matter which one. www.nytimes.com/2013/11/15/us/politics/122-million-in-2012-spending-by-koch-group.html Two brothers INVESTING that much only means they would be rewarded with billions if Romney won. Now? one recently died bing worth of $40 billion and he doesn't get to enjoy a single penny of it. His brother worth just as much won't be around for much longer. Crowder chickened out on debating sam seder at politicon btw but has a lot of time making fun of a 16 year teenage girl who cares about the fucking planet. When he gets called out by someone on the right for dropping out of the debate you know it's not a good look knowing the type of shit he does tricking unexpected people to make them look dumb which is all he has.

George should have read his bible before he raised his hand. Js Oaths and Vows (Numbers 30:1-16) Matt 5: 33Again, you have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not break your oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’l 34But I tell you not to swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; 35or by the earth, for it is His footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36Nor should you swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black. 37Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more comes from the evil one.m
