George Chisholm is what I consider to be a pioneer & the father of british jazz trombone playing. Alot of people remember him for his comedy routines on the black & white minstrel show in the 60's ,his humour was zany he even appeared with spike milligan & the goons ,but for jazz players who really know he was a world class trombonist who had his own distinctive style of playing .A jazz great that should be heard more often,I will be posting more rare LP's soon .His 1966 &1968 LP's Music for Romantics vol 1 & 2 are fabulous and show george to be a sensitive player with loads of heart and soul, why they not released on cd is beyond me
