George did all he could for that family. He deserved more credit. Mary acted like she was the only one holding the house together. Missy was becoming well a teenager, Sheldon didn’t show emotion for him, and Georgie wasn’t being around. He deserved more credit. Every time I see this scene, it makes me cry. I know it’s just a show, but it’s sad to see how they react. Sheldon regretted his actions and started not talking to anyone, not even friends or family. Mary just broke down hearing of him. Missy was in tears. Georgie was sad. And Connie remembered all the moments with him and tried to lighten the mood

When he died, it felt like my own father did, I couldn’t look at my dad for days afterwards because every time I did I would burst into tears. I've watched every episode of BBT and now Young Sheldon. There were some teary eye moments in BBT such as when Howard's mom died. But they were always quickly followed by a zinger to snap you out of it. The last two episodes of Young Sheldon, was the first and only time in both where my eyes were about flooded the entire time. Those writers just ripped our hearts out. My expectation was that George would go to the hospital, there would be some tearful exchanges as a way of saying good bye, then the doctors would come out and say he didn't make it. But no... George left for work like any other day, the rest of the family sat around waiting for him to come home for a family picture and while waiting for George learned from his colleagues that he died.. no closure. No warning. No good bye. It was tough.
