I met George Duke in Guadalajara Mexico in 1964 when I was about 12. My school acquired some tickets to see the George Duke Trio at the Teatro Degollado. They weren't well known then. Me and some friends got to go. After the show they stood outside the front of the theater and we got to talking to them. Turns out a couple of them were from the Bay Area. Years later he resurfaced, playing da funk!

Now this is how you make an old school music video! Too many rap & hip-hop fans overlook the samples where their favorite songs come from. Masterpiece, like everyone, my first time hearing this. I mistakenly thought this was P-Funk in some type of way. Dukey Stick and Movin On are classic George Duke. And, of course his George Duke and Stanley Clarke collaboration.
