To celebrate his birthday, look at this #freefight between #georgeforeman and Jimmy Ellis as Foreman picks up career win number 70.
Next up for Top Rank Boxing, the matchups have changed, but a high-octane heavyweight doubleheader will still go down Saturday, Jan. 14, at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.
In the 10-round main event, Efe “The Silent Roller” Ajagba will now take on St. Louis native Stephan “Big Shot” Shaw. Oscar Rivas was originally slated to fight Ajagba but had to withdraw with an eye injury.
Guido “The Gladiator” Vianello, who was scheduled to fight Shaw in the co-feature, will now face the upset-minded Jonnie Rice in a 10-rounder.
Ajagba-Shaw and Vianello-Rice will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Undercard bouts will stream live and exclusively on ESPN+ and includes a 10-round junior lightweight tilt between Adam “BluNose” Lopez and Abraham “El Super” Nova.

You can clearly see George holding back what a guy that's greatness we all know if this was young George Ellis would be out in 1

He's trying to be like Jersey Joe Walcott and Archie Moore. They use those punches often in the 50s.

Once George had a guy hurt, he became one of the most scarily accurate fighters I’ve ever seen. Always composed, and always lethal.

Crazy he was 6ft 3" and that was considered gigantic at the time, "Big George Foreman". Usyk is the same size but considered small by today's standards. 🤯

Foreman was actually 6'4 but I understand where you're coming from. When you say Big George Foreman he still is big in that ring. Good luck trying to make Big George back up for more than a couple of seconds. He seemed like he always still established himself as the big man no matter what because of his sheer power, chin and determination

@@msw8966 foreman was 192 cm and Usyk ist 191 cm but with massive difference in power, stamina, skills and styles. Hey boy I say you Big George could down Fury in first round and in second almost down and out for Fury! So I say you don't mess with his Foreman prime!!!

I think Foreman would have the same trouble with Usyk that Joshua had 🤔...Foreman of course is better the Joshua but both there styles are bad for Uysk cause he's not going to let them hit him 🤷🏽‍♂️

Size is more than height that’s what people have been trying to say lol. David Tua was 5 10 but humongous, Usyk has to fatten up to get 225, he honestly could’ve competed at cruiser physique IMO. Foreman would push Usyk around the ring strength wise. It’s like how people talk about Fury-- he’s not as tall as people think he’s shorter than Magic Johnson- but he’s so fat he’s usually the bigger man and stronger. I don’t think he’s stronger than Usyk and AJ but we have to see

He could have stopped the fight earlier. Nothing premature about it. I'd rather see a fighter live to fight another day than suffer a brain injury because the ref let the fight go on
