Yes he was a quality fighter. That right hand that he dropped Froch with (in front of 80k at Wembley...) was a genuine wallop. Amazed that Froch got up from that.

George's story of defeat and then success has fans feeling so warm and proud if him and so imagine how he must have felt? Glad to see her is getting some interesting chat going and seems happy, him and Froch were the beginning of this new era of grudge matches and stadiums filled regularly and it went further than those loses for Groves of course, that doesn't define him as he still become a great champion.

George was a really good boxer in his prime. Unlucky with the first froch fight, and didn't cross the line on world titles to many times. But won one in the end and was great to watch. We didn't know what we had until it was gone.

Groves' split with Adam booth is a real shame. I used to love Groves' style back then, was like a mini David Haye. Whatever went on with them, and whoever was the the truly injured party, all that aside I think they worked as a boxing partnership. Groves was a smart and adaptable boxer, but no style fitted him better than Booth's
