I miss this kind of Republican Party. Back when they and Democrats may not always see eye to eye, but they always believed they can work stuff out together and stay unified for the sake of the country’s democracy and laws and constitution. Sad this won’t be coming back.

Key points: -The free-market should govern us to a greater extant -We should cut social support programs -Moral corruption is to blame, we should be sending more people to prisons -The country will prosper, but you will have less. turn to Christianity for comfort through the coming hardships -We're going to start another unprovoked war in a vulnerable country with valuable resources, don't compare it to Vietnam

We should listen closely to this speech in a time where the whole world seems to evolve backwards in terms of freedom of speech, respect and fairness amongst political opponents. We seem to live in a world of hysteria where people became over reactive to any diverting opinion. We should use historical documents as this to figure out how to move again towards a more positive and forward looking attitude.
