It's amazing that all three Beatles were such great poets. This album really showcases George's greatness in that area.

Apple Scruffs was the name he gave to the fans that waited outside of Apple Records day and night for just a glimpse of The Beatles.

This album might be the absolute best of the Beatles' solo albums. My mind always wanders to when i would listen to it in class. In a school that was on the cliffs facing the ocean.

This is actually quite magic. I've just listened All Things Must Pass for the first time a week days ago, i've been listening to it for some time. And yesterday i thought "Dang, since Smags reviews albums i hope someday someone will request this album, because it's soo good"
@DIEGOALFREDOLARIOSGOETENDIA17 сағат бұрын
This album always gets me...all the lyrics are exactly complemented by instrumentals in an introspective way and each song makes me feel like I'm meditating or praying...you can listen to "the George touch"... something mystical...🙂↕️
@benoitdesmarais294818 сағат бұрын
He had all that material on his backburner, and he exploded on All Things Must Pass. (Title track appears on The White Album demos, if i'm not mistaken.) I don't think he ever came close again to writing such a great album, even if i love a couple of tracks on almost everything he released after this.

gotta do paul mccartney solo album - ram this is probably the best beatles solo album but that’s a closeeee second

Nina Simone did an awesome cover of Isn't It A Pity, that George liked a lot.

That's a brilliant cover. There's also a great Elliott Smith cover. He was a massive George Harrison fan.

All those songs rejected by Paul & John for Beatles albums. Hard to believe.
@brettholcomb376313 сағат бұрын
All Things Must Pass, Isn't It A Pity, and Beware of Darkness were all considered for the "Get Back" album. They worked on All Things Must Pass quite a bit, but George didn't think it would translate well to their planned live performance at the end of the sessions. Paul and John actually tried to talk George into continuing to work on All Things Must Pass for the project. He brought in "I, Me, Mine" as a song that he thought was better suited to the 4 of them pulling off live. By the time Abbey Road sessions came around they preferred "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun" and George was already planning to put out a solo album.

What is Life is probably the best song ever written by any Beatle, Wah Wah is great, Apple Scruffs is fun, but I think this is a MASSIVELY overrated album and does not deserve anywhere near the praise it gets. John and Paul's solo debuts are much more interesting.
