George Helm spoke to everyone who wanted to listen. He was a marvelous singer of Hawaiian music. I have a cassette he made shortly before he was so deeply immeshed in Kahoolawe. He was so dedicated and his death was a huge blow to everyone who knew what a powerful message he carried. I look forward to the short film "Hawaiian Soul" about george.

Aunty Mae Helm was lovely. The women back then ran homes, took care of the family, worked till the sun went down. Beautiful era. If you didn’t get it the first time, you ain’t getting it. Wonderful memories of our Kupuna during that time. So many beautiful yards. When Kupuna hala, everything hala too. We really need to step up to the plate- we need to compete with social media and fake eyelashes. Aloha no.

Aloha Aunty Kaui I agree with so much culture and history and I have many fond memories of kupuna and their teachings through mo'olelo.
