I have the same thought, Jeff. There is almost a whisper when they harmonize together. George's harmony here is beautiful. Tammy's voice is just as beautiful. The two of them had the most unique voices. The clip showcases this. They sang another song after this one. Try to find it.

Edit: I retract my previous statement saying that all modern artists are bad, only most of them are. Ive found Colter Wall.

Miss real Country Music & singers singing real duets. How can you go wrong with Tammy/George, Conway/Loretta, Porter/Dolly & Jim Ed/Helen. They don't even need music to sing. The greats are slowly leaving us. And don't get me started on Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, Donna Fargo, Dottie West to name a few. I will talk your head off. Tk you to you tube for all the old country songs. Never thought I'd say this but I don't listen, watch Awards show or buy albums (cds) of today's fake country music. It's not country. Theres No more songs with a story in them, so sad. Classic County forever.

I don't remember the year but Tammy was giving a concert close to Lou. Ky. A number of us went to see her, and her and George hadn't been divorced too long. Tammy had just recently married the piano player in her band. After she had sang about six songs when out from behind the state curtain came George Jones, you could tell Tammy's expression was like all those in the audience she was as surprised as everybody else was. George took Tammy's hand and they sang about six or seven songs together, George just bowed and left. What a great thrill it was to see and hear Tammy and George singing together. It was a wonderful night, one I'll always remember. Seeing the two Icons and Legends of Country music performing together was totally unexpected and what a super night it turned out to be. .

This brings back so many good memories. My father liked Tammy and George and especially liked them both tegether. When I was very young my dad let me help him rebuild the engine to a '75 Mustang that he picked up cheap. It took us about six weeks worth of after school hours and weekends to complete. It wasn't a race, it was just being together that mattered. After it was finished we would take the car out just for the sake of the ride that summer with this album in the 8-track. He would allow me to select the gear whenever he pushed in the clutch. For a 12 year old boy this was the best. I miss this kind of music and I miss my dad.

Michael S I have similar memories and know exactly how you feel. Early 80s, summertime, evenings in the garage building a stock car with my dad and buddies. Country music on the radio. For a time it seemed that all was right with the world. I'm blessed to have George and Tammy were part
