This is the 1st of 12 symphonies written by this English composer of part Welsh and American ancestry. Since his death in 1998 his music was somewhat forgotten but a mini-revival seems to be happening in recent years. OK, he wasn't England's greatest composer, but his music can never be described as dull.

Hello José A beautiful symphony I have some George Lloyd symphonies on cd. I love British music and composers like Elgar, Walton, Bax and Vaughan Williams. And nice that he is conducting his own work. 🎻👍
