Slept king has much more social awareness than he is given credit for. Yeah he's a comic but honorable guys like Gil implicitly demand respect simply by being there. Bobby realizes he is talking to a legit hero and a fascinating dude who comes from an incredibly serious line of work. So he is the Bobby Lee experience as much as he can be while also maintaining ultimate respect for Gil.

It's because he's with someone outside of the comedy world that he has immense respect for and someone who comes from a very serious line of work. Talk to a guy like Gil for 2 minutes and you would immediately feel the same way. These guys demand respect not with words or tone or ego but simply with the stories and knowledge they have to share. I feel the same way talking to military veterans, emergency room nurses and doctors, firefighters, etc.

He should take a couple episodes to build off this experience with Bobby cohosting and then bring in another guest to do the same and build and build and build. The energy is there, it just needs to be dialed in. George can really capitalize on this. He’s on the right track already doing this on ATC.
