I was rockin Dokken back in the 80's. I am 56 years old. George Lynch is 67 looks great for his age, and still shredding. Incredible. Don Dokken his voice may not be all there, but awesome still the same. The 80's best years of my life. Their will never be this type of music again, the energy was great and we had lots of fun partying.

Things were different back then. I lived my teenage years in the 80s and remember how exciting hearing Dokken was. There was such a mystery with bands and the closest you got was seeing them at a show. No, social media or anything like that. @@jimackerman6343 No one gets any points for putting EVH on a list of the greats :) It's subjective of course, and I can't critique anyone's list, but I would not have included DeMartini or Beach. I'd take Segovia in his prime or de Lucia over Levin. But hey, if you've heard something that I haven't, please feel free to open my ears with a recommendation... I think my list would be: EVH (duh), MacAlpine, Malmsteen, Satriani, Vai, Gilbert.

I love how on every song, no matter which one, but especially on Kiss of Death, George always looks like he's thinking, "OMG this is so difficult! Why TF did I write this so complicated?!"

I always feel bad for the singers. So many catch hell for not sounding like they did 30 - 40 YEARS ago. Like who the hell could?? Especially trying to hit the notes that some of them did back then! Lol I've learned to go to shows like this for the nostalgia. If they end up sounding good, then it's a bonus. I've also learned guitar players have a much longer shelf life than singers cuz George sounds amazing!

@@staciehenderson6982 If these singers took care of their voices and did proper techniques and warmups, they could still sing like that in their late 50s and early to mid 60s There's a guy who runs a vocal academy who's like 60, his name is Ken Templin. the guy can sing anything. He used to be a singer for a christian glam metal band called "shout" in the 80s and he can still do super high notes exactly like when he was young. He can sing Rob Halford, Dio, anything. Check him out, he has a KZbin channel.

@@lrn_news9171 Yeah, you're right. Unfortunately a lot of those guys likely didn't do those things. Who knows if they were ever even educated on it or made aware of it's importance. To be fair, there was probably a lot of us back then who weren't taking very good care of ourselves either though. Lol It's still a shame to see a singer lose their former voice and catch all the hateful crap they do because of it, whether it's their own fault or not. I'm not familiar with Ken Templin or Shout but I'll definitely check him out!
