I was rockin Dokken back in the 80's. I am 56 years old. George Lynch is 67 looks great for his age, and still shredding. Incredible. Don Dokken his voice may not be all there, but awesome still the same. The 80's best years of my life. Their will never be this type of music again, the energy was great and we had lots of fun partying.

Don didn't lose his passion he woke up paralyzed last year he's a true fighter cuz he's standing up on stage when the doctor said he never would be able to again little use of his right hand can't play guitar because he can't health problems he didn't lose his pastor and he wouldn't be on stage man's lucky to be alive

This video is a testament to the fact that the only musicians who don't get better with time are the ones that have to rely on biology, the singers...George is killing it, and belongs on the short list of the greats with Randy Rhoades, Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. I'm 55 and was there when Dokken first came out, one of my favorite bands back in the day. I was lucky enough to see George Lynch with Lynch Mob in NYC 2016 and he rocked it! Still hasn't lost a beat and although Don Dokken doesn't have the chops he once did, it's cool to see these 2 share a stage again.

Growing up back in the day in OC/LA there were a handful of guys destined for greatness. Eddie, Randy, George, & Rusty (Anderson). They all did well to say the least. Poor Randy might have been the best of the bunch had he lived...But Eddie ended up being the GOAT. Lynch deserves his spot as one of the all time greats.

Yes, Don’s vocals are shot. Not his fault, just how it goes over time. You have to imagine it pains him to not be able to sing like he once did. It must be a hard thing to accept and deal with. But George is still killing it. Imagine if George developed severe arthritis and couldn’t play anymore. I’m just glad these guys have enough in the tank to give it another go. Long live the great Dokken!! 🤘

I lived in Phoenix back in the Dokken Days and every once in a while you'd see Don driving past you on the streets in his black, convertible vette, with "DOKKEN" on his plates. People on the streets would literally lose their minds when they saw him. May not seem like much, but it was pretty cool back in the day.

Things were different back then. I lived my teenage years in the 80s and remember how exciting hearing Dokken was. There was such a mystery with bands and the closest you got was seeing them at a show. No, social media or anything like that. Now that I'm older and have money I still crank metal in my car but I have an upgraded stereo so the cars 5 cars away (with all my windows closed) can also enjoy Dokken. 😃

I always feel bad for the singers. So many catch hell for not sounding like they did 30 - 40 YEARS ago. Like who the hell could?? Especially trying to hit the notes that some of them did back then! Lol I've learned to go to shows like this for the nostalgia. If they end up sounding good, then it's a bonus. I've also learned guitar players have a much longer shelf life than singers cuz George sounds amazing!

@@staciehenderson6982 If these singers took care of their voices and did proper techniques and warmups, they could still sing like that in their late 50s and early to mid 60s There's a guy who runs a vocal academy who's like 60, his name is Ken Templin. the guy can sing anything. He used to be a singer for a christian glam metal band called "shout" in the 80s and he can still do super high notes exactly like when he was young. He can sing Rob Halford, Dio, anything. Check him out, he has a KZbin channel.

To be fair, there was probably a lot of us back then who weren't taking very good care of ourselves either though. Lol It's still a shame to see a singer lose their former voice and catch all the hateful crap they do because of it, whether it's their own fault or not. I'm not familiar with Ken Templin or Shout but I'll definitely check him out!
