George Lynch’s “Dream Warriors” solo

Nothing gets the left hand going like trying to catch George…
If you watched my walkthrough video, please run through this on a slow speed setting for a couple of refinements, specifically:
More accurate half-step trill run over the first dm chord. George definitely did it on two strings - as evidenced by pick attacks evident on the record.
Added a repeated d note immediately after above-mentioned section. Also, all of that bluesy/chromatic stuff there is picked. I suspect George was actually using some economy picking there.
Tap run now has a different second tap note on the high E and a second tap mote on the D string.
Thanks for watching!

One of Lynch's most melodic solo's, that and the Hunter (IMO) that descending legato tapped run at the end is absolute sorcery. Makes the fur stand every time. Yoy nailed the whole thing. Bravo👏👏🎸

@@licecestep9411 the original “mom” was actually scalloped from the 10th up. This was due to the carve of the “thumb bone” around the treble bout, which limited George’s access to the upper frets. Another countermeasure taken was flattening the portion of the top of the thumb bone inside of the treble bout. Thanks for watching! G

Is a special time for me. I can't shred like that? I can fake it? But for real guitar players can tell I'm just doing Jeff Hannaman from Slayer. LOL. Ha ha. You know that you know what I mean? LOL. The temporary neck that first adorned the guitar was not. It did not have a reverse headstock. Not exactly… Chris is a good friend and had a significant hand in the build. He made the body blank from maple that Craig and I bought, then ran the carve on his CNC. The machine can only get so close, though. Craig spent dozens of hours hand carving to enhance the details. He also air brushed it. A motor cycle shop in Austin, TX (where Craig lived at the time) did the body clear coat. Craig and I assembled it at his house. Neck is custom spec Warmoth and finished by Pat Wilkins.
