This is it: the climactic, two-string climbing run finisher of George Lynch’s “Paris is Burning” intro solo!
Recreated faithfully on an ESP Kamikaze and a Hughes & Kettner Triamp Mark 3, this is a very rewarding passage to get down.
There will be one final lesson focusing picking the two variations of the repeated patterns at the end of this run.
As always, thanks for tuning in and engaging!
🙂🤟🏻🎸

This solo burns so brightly, it brings memories of the loooove that I once knew. George Lynch is burneeeeeng!!! Awesome job n the whole series, it’s like a full crime scene ballistics report by a salty dog forensic scientist. It’s really a feat to transcribe this wild, skittering, untranscribable solo. Come to find George’s patterns are all very interesting and not typical scale-running shred licks. I know George is not a music theory wizard, but it’s inspiring how he comes up either way such absolutely great material, sometimes full of colorful modulations, all from just sheer imagination and risk-taking.

@@labontetrevor Thanks so much, Trevor! It was 100% a labor of love. George’s fans that play - or are even curious - deserve a peek under the covers. Hope you are well, brother. 🙂🎸👍🏻 G

I love that you have Jem swirls just you know hangin around on a rack, some guys would put em behind bulletproof glass, I think RexyLabs did, but you do an outstanding job on playing these note for note, and they are strange sometimes, but then again so is my playing.

Thanks! They’re guitars and meant to be played. No guitar I ever own will hang on a wall and collect dust or wither awat in a vault. I want all of them a couple steps and an arm’s reach away. Thanks for validating the hard work that I put into these. It lets me know it’s worth it. Catcha soon! 🙂🎸 G

@@gbalulis I run into that same validation problem, I have 6 in my room and a couple at a rehearsal space, they are worth it, especially those hahahaha.

I always thought this solo from George was better than Eddie's Eruption solo. But then im biss thinking George was so much better than Eddie.

@@jeffallen3382 Hey Jeff! They are both masterpieces, for sure. With no disrespect to Eddie’s legacy, I am in your camp on this issue. Take care! 👍🏻🎸 G
