This guy is a living legend. I don’t always like his tone but his playing is always amazing. His tone is awesome here and playing with tremendous skill and emotion. This is a masterpiece.

See i feel like the exact opposite. He sounds like every other guitar player here. I was at GIT in 1991 and GL was by far my fav guitar player at the time. He set up in one of the rooms for a clinic and he sounded so unique. He played outside the norm and there were no "wrong" notes. Here hes just rehashing lixx that have been played tooo many times. very meh

Man!! it is such a joy to listen to a player that plays so beautifully that it makes me wanna shut down my computer and go pick up a guitar!!! ....One of the few "shredders" that could walk into a legitimate blues gig and fit in perfectly. Rare cat!!...Beautiful stuff. Fantastic cause!!!!!!! The People need highly visible celebrities. George speaks so straight forward in his interviews, i always figured he was a native American. beautiful tone too!!!!

George is an incredible musician, puts his whole soul into what he's playing. It's really a treat to listen to a musician such as George. Warm tone is incredible, cool Tele-style ESP and the fingerpicking is awesome George, really raw, incredibly executed, phrasing, note choice, everything spot on. Thanks George for inspiring so many with your incredible talent and giving back your gift to all of us.

That Telecaster is bringing out the best of Lynch: so much melody and nuance. Go on to any KZbin video featuring George Lynch - speaking and interviews - he comes across as a really modest, humble and well-spoken thoughtful person. The radio station unplugged set showcasing River of Love is amazing.

Wow I finally understand. I just figured out why 20 people don’t like this song. They are totally right. I don’t like it as well. I don’t like that it’s only 4 minutes and 54 seconds long. I could listen to this for a very long time and never tire of it. It’s not your normal guitar solo or mindless noodling. It’s not blistering fast but every note has meaning and together form a very powerful piece. It’s as if George’s guitar is speaking and weeping. I hope he does more of this in the future. I love his Mr. Scary and Kiss of Death and all of his Dokken stuff but this is on a whole different level. He’s a true virtuoso. After he plays a few notes you know it’s him but not in the sense of a one trick pony. George isn’t that. His repertoire seems limitless. His phrasing is perfect. He slips in tapping like it’s not tapping. He finger picks then slides to using a pick then taps then slides then uses vibrato. It’s like watching a boxer put together endless fluid combinations of punches. It’s a treat to watch and listen to. One of my favorite guitarists of all time. I much prefer listening to his stuff over Van Halen’s.

I've been a huge fan of Mr. Scary since I was 14 years old in the mid 80's when I first took guitar class to get my high school music credit. My second year we were able to do a final exam, and that involved playing whatever song we wanted. I was working for a long time signing out acoustic guitars to learn how to play "Alone Again" note-for-note. I finally learned it a few weeks before the final and passed with a very high mark. So since then I've been a super fan of George. Thanks for all the years of listening enjoyment and inspiration, and for help passing that exam George!
