I visited Goring a couple of years ago and whilst peeking into what was George’s garden along the tow path a lovely gentleman asked if I was a George Michael fan ? I explained I was and thought he was going to get annoyed because of all the fans descending on the village when he passed. Turned out he was a neighbour of George’s and he said how devastated he was on his death, what a lovely man he was but very private ... Brought tears to my eyes .. Miss you George ❤️😢

Thank you so much for doing this video. As a life long fan of GM it really hit me hard when he died.I’m a disabled lady and I really wanted to go and pay my respects at the time, but I knew it would be impossible, so seeing his house and surrounding areas to me is so precious. I’m a member of the GM fans on fb and such a kind lady on there took a rose and a card there for me.

George loved dogs especially labradors, I worked on two bungalows in potters bar in herts when I was younger. His mother and father lived there it was a stud farm so I was told, I used to chat to his father as he used to walk bi with a yellow labrador called thumper unless I'm confused as it was in the late 80s early 90s. His dad said George was in the states and he missed the dog, I'm a massive George Michael fan to my amazement he drove in in a black Range rover with black windows the next morning. Dident know it was him but a lad I was working with told me that's what he drove, Eddie my mate had the flu so he went and reclined the passenger seat in my mk1 golf GTI and was asleep. George appeared in the doorway right under me I was on the scaffolding slating the roof, what I really noticed was how dark his stubble was he was wearing a black Nike tracksuit and trainers he certainly didn't look happy although he was polite and said hello as I did . He walked past the car looked in seen Eddie asleep and smiled, I've often wished I had shouted can you sing wake me up before you go go but I just wanted to respect his privacy in hindsight George would have probably obliged as he had a great sense of humour. The likes of George Michael will never ever come again Very Handsome, extremely talented, kind generous man will always miss him but his music lives on.love every song he had written and performed but the song that means the most is called,, Going to a town,,, written by Rufus Wainwright ❤

@@peterbalac1915 oh how lucky were you what lovely memories you have. I saw him in concert back in the 80’s and he was in his element, I was about 14 at the time and totally besotted with him. A kind woman lent me her binoculars and just as I focused in on him (he was singing monkey) he bent down and split his trousers! He stopped singing and told the fans what had happened then turned around to show his split of course I had a close up didnt I 😂 he ran off strange and changed, then after a few more songs we all song happy birthday to him. I have very found memories of his music in fact I can’t think of one I don’t like.
