When I was 8, my mom and I were at the airport on our way to Puerto Rico. George Michael was walking by and my mother approached him for an autograph. He was so very kind and did as my mom asked. He then bent down, and with that amazing word he used, he asked me "What is your name "Darling"? He was such a lovely man and his kindness I will never forget. Rest Peacefully In Paradise George Michael.

The reason why so many people still mourn his loss is because we all saw a part of ourselves in him. He was insecure, vulnerable, lonely , depressed… and all of it was played out in public. So many of us carry these crosses in secret, afraid of showing too many people what our fears are.. He created a safe space in his music for us to feel and work through it all. He never portrayed this perfect image. He showed the world his flaws. He was a real person. Truly inspirational! Truly AMAZING truly FLAWLESS!

Michelle per. George still had trouble believing people TRULY LOVED HIM. One of the women who has a George Michael website (can't remember which one) said she went to visit the house where he died. The housekeeper came out (can't remember why) and she asked the housekeeper if she could ask her a question. She asked if he knew if he was loved and she said she thought so. But it was something she had to think about.

The fact that George didn't realize how handsome he was added to his appeal. It gave him a boyish shy like personality and along with those sad eyes, he was incredibly attractive. He most definitely has left music that will touch lives for as long as earth exists. Kenny was lucky to have been in his life, and George was just as lucky to have Kenny. This interview was so sweet. I am glad to see a man who spoke so highly about his ex. Thanks for the great interview.

George wouldn't have made that much physical effort (to receive such a sex symbol status) if he was just averagely attractive. He knew he was obviously attractive (with max effort being made) but clearly had a perfectionist ego. i.e. which would have him highlighting his flaws more than his attributes. Point is, there's clearly a context to 'not realising how handsome'. A legend for sure but he wasn't some innocent Bambi...

Growing up off the same street as George in Radlett, ( Oakridge Avenue), I often bumped into George or his family whilst growing up. He was actually a quite shy and private man, by nature, but also incredibly kind and genuine and possessed as the world was about to find out, a most amazing songwriting and singing talent. He had French lessons with my next door neighbour, as did I, and I often bumped into him walking his dog, over Hill Farm during the 80’s. His lovely sister Melanie worked in Upstairs Downstairs, the funky hairdressers that was then in town ( and she was also adorable and had exactly the same kind yet inherently quiet shy nature as George, until you got to know her, as I did as she used to wash my hair ) and his favourite local restaurant was The Cabin, a quiet tucked away Chinese with floral wallpaper and carpet on the floor, sadly both venues now long gone ( it’s now a Costa 🤨 ). Often Fans would come wondering up Oakridge Avenue en masse ( George’s house was top left with Greek pillars ) but there was a tacit rule amongst all of us kids to misdirect the fans so as to try and keep the Michaels family privacy ( there were no gates ect protecting them and fans would just walk up the driveway and drive poor Lesley mad as most of the time he wasn’t in! ). It was a kinder gentler time in the 80’s 😀….. His old black Range Rover with it’s H1 YOG number plates signalled his appearance in much later years. The last time I saw him was walking my parents basset hound Herbie, over the fields in Hill Farm. I knew it was George, hadn’t seen him in ages, but this was the early 90s and he was embroiled with the fight was Sony. He had lost a lot of weight, looked fantastic, was dressed from top to toe in Black, with slim fit black jeans ( quite something then ) and even from a distance I could tell it was him again. As we passed he said Hello and this time he had no dogs with him. He was literally walking the fields alone in quiet contemplation, field on one side, Radlett Brook on the other. He bent down, stroked Herbie and then asked how I was. I said all good thanks and remembered saying Good Luck with Sony George, he smiled, said Thank You and carried on his way. Never saw him again after that …. George’s life changed considerably when he lost his Dear Mum, Lesley. Like me, I think he struggled with his sexuality. At heart he was a kind and decent family man, and he would have made a great father. Back then, being gay and being a father did not really go together … times are so different now thank goodness. Knowing George that very little I did, just want to assure all his fans that he really was one of the kindest human beings, he helped so many people selflessly, and did not do it for thanks or publicity. He was a normal gentleman in possession of an abnormal talent. I don’t know Kenny at all. But from my perspective we should never judge. It’s easy to come across badly in an interview especially if that interview is by Piers! Trust George, there must have been some reason why he stayed with Kenny for 15 years and why Kenny was George’s family’s favourite partner. Peace and Love to you all x

Though George Michael might not always have represented the most critically acclaimed musical genre he did manage to fuse and permanently wield his extraordinary understanding of pop music into so many other styles. He could take any tune and make it sound so much better. His versatility and musical acumen were no less than outstanding. He understood music as an art form and not simply as a vehicle to get from A to B. Music was his life and he sacrificed everything for his art. The world of music lost an enormous talent upon his passing, leaving none but a careless whisper.

He loved George Michael, it was his clubbing time when George Popped up in the Pop Scene.. when i was a child He always Played his music in the car on the way to bring me to school. I will always connect his music with my childhood with my daddy. Last year He gave me before He died on cancer this best of Geroge Michael CD collection... thank you Geroge.

What a complete farse of an interview. Listening to Kenny talking more about himself than George, it was painful to watch. He clearly wanted to talk more about himself than life with George. Of all the men George could have had I'm absolutely gobsmacked that he even lasted 25yrs with this man. Here's hoping he doesn't get anymore airtime. Let's remember George as the extremely talented musician that he was. He was loved not just by men worldwide but by women too. He's still to this day missed and very much loved.....his music lives on and that's exactly what he strived to do with his extraordinary talent. RIP George.

The great thing about George during his prime was that although he was one of the greatest singer songwriters he lacked pretentiousness. Many just didn't realize how talented this guy really was including himself. He was also an individual and refused to be pigeon holed with group identity labels during his prime especially sexual orientation labels...and didn't seem comfortable to solely declare himself as "Gay" It seemed that this music and songwriting and artistry ended up being hurt once he actually started catering solely to the LGBT mobs. Don't let any groups from the Left nor the Right whether it is LGBT or Christians to steal your Individuality. You don't have to kneel to Mobs.

George Michael looked and sounded like an Angel and from what I learnt from watching many videos and reading articles about him is that George n could never see how talented and handsome he was he thought the opposite. He struggled through out his life that all he ever wanted was to be accepted for who he was and his musical genius and voice exuded such talent he was born with that and like Elvis he was a one off nobody could ever replicate.🕊️ ❤️🕊️

There’s no doubt George had his struggles but what an amazing talent he had. ❤️ I wish he hadn’t found life so difficult, had experienced more joy and realised just how loved he was. This interview was hard to watch. Because Kenny didn’t seem to understand a single question nor did he answer any directly. He also turned almost every question Piers asked *_about George_* to be about himself. I guess now he has his settlement from George’s family in the bank, his tongue has loosened. Kenny’s behaviour since George’s death has been a _real_ disappointment. He hadn’t been in a relationship with George for years. But by taking the Estate (George’s grieving family!) to court, he proved himself to be just as bad as many others. Particularly as the family were also grieving Melanie’s death. George was a smart man. If he wanted to make provisions for Kenny in his will he would have done so. Knowing how philanthropic George was, a wild guess might be that perhaps George felt that he had provided more than adequately for Kenny while he was alive. I really hope we don’t see any other Kenny interviews.

@minkabear81312 жыл бұрын
You took the words right out of my mouth, I completely 100% feel the exact same: George Michael has The Most Beautiful Face this world has ever seen - I have Never seen anyone that comes even close. And maybe it's just me (obviously not), but I have never, and probably never will, find a face that is so utterly completely beautiful to me, personally. And I hate to talk about his looks b/c I know he had hang ups about his appearance (and b/c his astounding looks are secondary to the depths of utter beauty inside) - but to Now even hear Kenny make the statement that George probably felt like he never had a good-looking day in his (entire) life KILLS me for him! Why oh Why could he not accept/see that?! (I know why). You can see all the breath-taking beautiful photos of him on various GM facebook sites - did he not look at his own photos of himself? I wish to *od he could have internalized more positives about himself. He was w/some of the wrong people that weren't able to provide him w/the self-love he needed. Yea, sorry, but Kenny did mess up w/just telling him he had nice lips - especially (if true) right when George was revealing his vulnerability that others said Kenny was better looking than him. And then Kenny said had the question about appearance come from a woman, he would have said much more. What a monumental miss. Yea, sorry, but Kenny may not have been good for George in regard to meaningfully and insightfully responding to some of George's sensitivities & extraordinary gifts (i.e., showing more interest and emotional gratitude in the songs George wrote about him; and his music in general). George just never found the right one later in life. Hurts my soul for him.
