Then of course everyone said he was very generous and kind and we know that he gave tons to charity in both time and money. What a loss to the music industry and Humanity. He was so right too about meeting people you admire - My personal mantra is "separate the artist from the art" because, so often, the artist will be disappointing or even worse (as was my experience) - But, I do think George, of all artists I admire and love their work is one person I would have loved to sit down, have a meal with and chat about life, his incredible insights into music and the music industry and just the world. Not larger than life, just an incredibly smart, astute, kind, humane man that, regardless of what he did for a living, would be delightful to talk with....He is so terribly missed ❤
