Despite the amount of music he has left us, I still wish there was more. It's such ashame that so many didn't appreciate his genius until he was gone but better late than never I suppose. It's strange that just earlier today I happened to see this exact picture of George on a KZbin recommendation and thought that I hadn't seen it for quite awhile and how nice it was. February 2nd, 2020, a cold night in Connecticut. Georges youngest sister Melanie passes away a little over five weeks ago on Christmas Day. Totally gutted. Watching George perform with a roaring fire and some brandy helps ease my sadness. You are the best ever George who did indeed sing with guts, just like you said. So proud.

So many are still shocked when I mention the sadness of his sister passing. At least that sad event wasn't exploited by the press. I was so shocked to find out that to this day that George still does not even have a headstone on his grave as his family doesn't want it to become like the memorial outside his home in Goring. That seems so sad to me. Someone of his genius to not have something as simple as a headstone. It's not as if it's a secret to where he is buried but at least his sister will be receiving one. I do hope his family change their minds and give him this small tribute to a beautiful man and his life.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a brand new television as an early Christmas present and no prizes for guessing who was the first artist to be played when adding Spotify! A few months ago, I was listening to George when I suffered a nasty accident at home and ended up with a badly broken left arm amongst other injuries. Guess what song he was singing when this occurred? Spinning the Wheel!!! Quoting Alanis Morissette, isn't it ironic, don't you think? Despite this, I'm constantly playing his music as it can resonate with so many of our moods. Keep enjoying!

@@annakisfaludinebaan I haven't recovered yet but getting there slowly. Was listening to George again today and it never seems too much. There is always something he sings that is appropriate for my mood and fits my day. After all this time, I'm still in awe of his amazing voice. A rare natural talent.
