You can tell when the host said he was going to say keywords and George would speak his mind on them, George was like "oh god...", but then the questions were actually really good and the host covered a lot of his material, so George actually got quite into it :) Thank you for uploading!

16:22 GRRM suggests a good exercise for individuating your characters.
@Atherith9 жыл бұрын
There are so many great characters from Game of Throne/A Song of Ice and Fire. Male and female. This GRRM interview was fantastic. I bet you haven't watched past the 1st season, "Darrklandz": let alone read the books. Did you even watch the entire interview? Typical feminazi, screaming "sexism/sexist!" about something you know NOTHING about! No strong female characters!? Are you fucking kidding me?! I guess if you OMIT: Daenerys, Arya, Catelyn Stark/Tully, Brienne, Sansa, Arianne Martel, The Sand Snakes- Tyene, Nymeria ,Elia and Obara; Margaery Tyrell, Cersei, 'the lady of thorns'-Olenna Tyrell, Aegon's sister-wives-Rhaenys and Visenya, the other Nymeria that led the 10k ships from the Rhoyne, Lady Mormont-head of the house Mormont which lead her house and went to war with Robs Stark's army and was a fierce fighter too, Asha Greyjoy, Melisandre, and Ygritte, etc,then you MIGHT have a leg to stand on. But you don't; cause you can't leave all those great female characters out just to suit your warped few. We have different standards of social mores today compare to the time period, Medieval times, this show/books are base off of. Keep that in mind. G.R.R.M. based this series off of practices in this time period. He enjoys History. He's not condoning "child bride rape" or any kind of rape; nor is the show. In Medieval times; you went from a child to adult, there was no in between, like today. You got married off as a teen, for: money, land, an alliance, and political gain, etc. Rarely for love. You "feminist" sure do love to twist things into something that they, objectively, aren't. Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire books has some of the strongest female characters in any TV show or book(s); and they're in abundance. If you really want to be such a fighter of women's rights, then go fucking do volunteer work in Africa where the raping and genital mutilation of young girls for merely getting an education is a REAL issue. Not make some ignorant, snarky remark about G.R.R.M. on youtube. But you wont, you just want to be FAKE -outraged over a TV series, then call yourself a feminist.

no way im reading that, looks like the rant of mad man
@Atherith8 жыл бұрын
+chris zanotti Sure does. Writing with punctuation, capital letters, spelling and proper grammar on youtube is pretty mad. Apparently so is having a coherent argument.
@Intiom8 жыл бұрын
+Atherith Coherence is easy, that doesn't make something true. As for punctuation, there were a few places where semi-colons were more appropriate than commas. A bit less smarm would go a long way.

Whoah, is Switzerland so backwards that they cheer when someone says something as simple as "women are people?" Or are people just that enthralled by Martin?
@Len1244 жыл бұрын
The number one rule when interviewing an author should be to _never_ ask them, "Where do you get your ideas?" Not saying the interviewer did that, haven't finished the video, but so many do and the, "How do you keep everything straight?" question came close, and should definitely be number 2 judging by GRRM's reaction.
@ericmartinez16652 жыл бұрын
That’s really dumb.

@@ericmartinez1665 You haven't watched many interviews of writers, have you? You'd realize the question itself is dumb if you knew anything about the creative writing process or how often that question is asked.
