With Moqorro basically saying "I have seen the glory that awaits you in my fires, Captain", and George loving messed up wordplay like that, Victarion burning is allllll but inevitable at this point lol.

Even though I'm certain we wont get it in The Winds of Winter...but I want to see a interaction between Stannis and Victarion, it'lll definitely be a fascinating conversation. Two characters very alike in so many ways. Stannis did defeat Victarion during the Greyjoy Rebellion.

I've always known Vic was a useful idiot but George unambiguously confirming it is depressing. I'm hoping for some divine intervention to thwart Moqorro's clear plan to sacrifice him; maybe Dany's unexpected return to Meereen or Barristan Selmy accidentally getting in the way...something. In fact when last seen Victarion and Moqorro were going to sacrifice the Dusky Woman to claim Dragonbinder as I recall. So I don't think she's a threat anymore.

Euron was impossible to put in the show because D&D tried to ignore the magical elements of ASOIAF as much as possible. Hence the removal of Dragonbinder, Stoneheart, the Black Gate, etc;

Tywin isn't evil. He just became a hardass after watching his father mocked his whole life and decided "enough is enough". We learn he's an enormous hypocrite by the end(given he told Tyrion that he wouldn't allow him to have any more whores , only for it being revealed he was with Shae before Tyrion shot him. Tywin isn't evil, he just is willing to go to immense lengths to keep the family honor and appearance of strength intact. He knows killing Ned was stupid, that when Robb Stark died, it was time to offer them the chance to yield(despite Joffrey wanting the northerners all dead)and even says he didn't need Elia dead and even felt disgusted at the lengths Amory Lorch went with Rhaenys's murder.

Victarion is not a leader, he's a follower. That's his greatest weakness. His speech is the weakest of the people at the Kingsmoot, but he even says he wasn't made to give flowery speeches to the Ironborn when he presents himself. While I think his hope of getting Dany to fall for him is foolish, I really wish he'd succeed just so he could beat Euron.

Well, to be fair, Theon's not really stupid... in the early story, he's definitely arrogant, and that cocks up his ability to see things clearly and truly, but by the time we really get invested in Theon's story arc, he's psychologically broken and tortured into submission... he's got a twisted, broken view of the world, but it's because of the pain he's gone through... Victarion though... he's... he's just kinda stupid and doesn't quite pick up on things xD

He made all those mistakes because of his inner conflict, he didn't really know if he should have stayed by Robb's side or to continue and make his daddy proud. Only in ADWD he comes to his senses and realizes he was a fool for betraying his true family (the Starks). But he isn't slow at all, just plain incompetent.
