What an amazing lecture, so insightful, articulate, and holistic perceptive, free from any basis of bias. Can't want to listen to more of his lectures. The concept of a fruitful fallacy true or both the cognitive and the manipulative function is brilliantly Hegelian. Education in an open society must never lose sight of both of these fruitful fallacies, but when was the last time this was discussed or raised in school?

It’s actually a claim about freedom in the best sense of that word. A reflexive society has a capacity to make itself into other forms… even if it is subject to outside influences (influences that do not necessarily share the society’s interests. That’s called colonialism, of course.)
