This album is the first album in a loooong time that George's music hasn't been Nashville"ized". This is the Texas Honky Tonk sound of his first albums. Maybe this is why he "retired" so he could get away from the city slick producers that only want the Bro Country sound. Also his first concerts in Tucson, the back of the main floor was full of couples dancing, after he got real popular, TCC filled the area with seats, greedy bastards, so they danced in the upper ring and the aisles. Note to the young ones, this is how you are supposed to dance to a country song, HOLDING YOUR PARTNER! There was a local band that had T-shirts that read "Real Cowboys Don't Line Dance!" and it is the truth. Oh he may dance one to impress a girl, but believe me he'd rather be hold'en on to her.
