Nice review! I personally like the hook and loop molle panel. Not for pouches and CCW purpose, but for flat hook and loop admin panels and also hook and loop mesh pockets. The hook and loop panel gives me the freedom to configure that panel how I like.

Another great review. I’ve had mine for a almost a year. It’s a great bag for daily essentials. It’s a bit fluffy. I would have also preferred a quick release clip on the strap. And yes. The water bottle eats space. I did throw in a 511 pouch in there for more organization on the molle. Thanks again!

Just purchased this exact bag. The velcro molle area is designed for addng their modular packs (shotgun shells, magazine sheaths, etc). Keeps things from sliding around. But you have to buy their products or jerry rig your own. I think it makes sense. I keep a trauma pack in the main compartment and use the opposite sleeves for knives, shears. The ccw compartment is well thought out, easy access, and secure. Plus the bag doesnt scream “concealed carry”. I may cut off the chest strap though, as dont need that extra level of tightening. Love the bag. Great review.

I just bought this bag and I love it already. Great review, one thing on the molle inside. It’s a bag designed for concealed carry. I think the molle panel is meant for magazine mounting which while adding weight, wouldn’t be necessarily bulky. I agree adding pouches on the inside makes no sense and would effectively make the interior pouch useless. However a few magazines or even a knife holster would make sense for the design intentions IMO

I had a pretty good feeling you would like this bag. I have the same color. This is my work EDC and holds a small Dell laptop, power cords, headlamp, first aid kit, notepad, pens, small hand tools, and a water bottle. The Concealed carry area easily holds a full size and extra magazines. Like wear 511 is adding more book and loop inside the bag,it really opens the options on how to kit your bags. I also bought the smaller LV6 for when wearing light athletic clothing. Off body carry is a must of you are doing any real outdoor exercising running, biking,etc. A word of advice for anyone who uses an off body bag to carry. Spend the extra money for a kydex hook and loop holster, don't trust using your holster with the belt loops they suck.

GREAT review. Thought it was very helpful/informative to see your EDC, just to get an idea of how other people use this bag. I've had it for months & LOVE it (made me transition away from my MOAB 6 sling, which was great until I got a larger tablet). I had the same concern you did about the molle wall but decided to try 5.11's Double Deploy Gearset to add that missing extra pouch on the inside. Waiting on it to arrive in the mail, but think it will fit. Keep up the great content bro.

Hello ElderHiker I have a question please. Do you still use this bag, and has it held up well over the past two years. If you do not answer back. I understand. Wish you well. Take care
@elderhiker77872 жыл бұрын
Hello Julio ~ yes, I still use the LV10 sling pack. It is extremely rugged and well made and it is very comfortable. It rides well on my shoulder and the sling strap is the best I ever seen. This is a very good product and I highly recommend it to you. Having said that, it is not my EDC. I have a tear-drop sling pack that I carry with me around town because it has pockets for my pens, pencils and markers and, most importantly, an outside pouch for my umbrella. For my EDC, I want easy access to an umbrella, a water bottle, compass and ranger beads, binoculars, and a map/GPS compartment. The LV-1 doesn’t have those thing, so it gets relegated to a hiking/travel pack vice a utility pack. You, have to have a clear idea of what your needs and goals are and how you are going to use it. But, this is an excellent sling pack.
@juliomaldonado40282 жыл бұрын
@@elderhiker7787 Thank you for your response. I truely do appreciate it. I did buy the backpack about a day ago, and Im new to sling backs. Im a bit worried about how durable a single strape will be over time and use. But the stitches seem to be solid. Ive just gotten tired of traditional backpacks in general. I dont carry as much stuff as I used to. And over the years, Ive constantly downsided my edc. Been experimenting with other sling packs like the tomtoc and kadet mini, and while I love those sling packs. I just need a bit more space. Really enjoy being able to sling the pack to my chest, get what I need, and sling it back without having to take off the pack like a traditional backpack.

Great review and overview! Thank you! I've subscribed! This bag is A LOT like the InCase DSLR Sling Pack that I have (for my camera) minus the conceal carry section, which is what I wanted, but I think it's overdone here. The rest of that space could be used for something else. Conceal carry (to me) should be a smaller weapon (S&W J-Frame .357) as opposed to my AR pistol being able to fit in there (LOL). Again, AWESOME review! Please excuse all my parentheticals 🙌🏽

I don’t know about the laser cut molle, I suppose you could use it, but I ALWAYS prefer hook and loop on the interior. If there were a bag that had loop side Velcro on everything, that would be perfect. You can get hook and loop dividers, helps organize the space, way easier to get things in and out, and also gives the bag some form, even when empty while also being easy to flatten if desired, but since they don’t have loop Velcro on the other side.... useless for organization that way. You could get some hook backed organizers I suppose. I could see an IFAK in there. I could see a utility pouch on the panel if you’re using 5.11’s quick pull system. Overall, looks like a good bag. I may need to stop by my local 5.11 and pick one up. Thanks for bringing us this review :)

Yeah those velcro molle sections are weird. The LV18 has them too. I mounted a patch to it, which is kinda cool (even though it’s on the inside of the bag); other than that, I just use it to store scissors, a pocket knife, and other things that can run through the webbing.
@GeorgeDEFINED5 жыл бұрын
5.11 is a pretty forward thinking company. They probably going to read these comments so... FEEDBACK is good. I don't think they need to get rid of it all together but just tone it down. I thought it would be a good idea to put the molle in the CCW compartment. So your not reaching into two different sections, one for your CCW and another for your mags. See ya
