I was nearly the same age as Sean Lennon when John was killed and I remember it vaguely but it didn't really make sense to me as an almost five year old. George was completely different and it brought tears, especially as he must have suffered the last few months of his life. Such an amazing person to suffer so much (as many do)... I'm just glad that both Paul and Ringo got the chance to be with him and say their goodbyes as best they could since they were cruelly denied that chance with John.

He’s so underrated it breaks my heart. In literally any other band he’d have been lauded as a songwriting genius with an insanely beautiful voice, but of course he was in the Beatles with Lennon & McCartney! Even then I consider some of his songs amongst the best they produced. _Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Here Comes The Sun,_ and the glorious _Long, Long, Long_ - a little-recognised masterpiece (and Ringo’s best performance). Miss you George!

Funny enough, George Harrison did not compose "Got My Mind Set on You." Its composer is Rudy Clark, perhaps most famous for writing "Everybody Plays the Fool," a smash for the Main Ingredient. The legend is George knew "Got My Mind Set on You" from the version made by one James Ray when he bought an album by Ray that included "Got My Mind Set on You."

I also think they would still be making music just like Paul and Ringo do. But that’s it, we just have them. And I guess that’s life sadly. But we’ll see them again(or for the first time, as I mentioned) someday.

I saw this video when I was about 9 years old in the late 80's. It was George Harrison who got me my exposure to the rest of the Beatles. Even though Ringo is my favorite, I have George Harrison to thank.

Haha same here. I was born in the 90s but loved 80s music ever since I can remember but this one has especially stuck with me and I don't know why either. There are plenty of 80s songs I would consider superior but when I hear this chorus, I get a feeling like no other song can provoke and instantly get taken back to my childhood.

I never realised that George sang this until now! What a wonderful vocal performance, he hits all those high notes perfectly. There are very few singers whose voices age well like George's, and coupled with his brilliant production with Lynne makes for an enduring 80s classic.

I swear this is one of my favorites! It has all the fun and energy of The Beatles during the height of their popularity and I can totally see them rocking this out. George Harrison was an amazing song writer who was overshadowed a lot by John and Paul. I'm glad I have this song to remind of that! ❤️

Took me 33 years to find this song. I seen it on TV when I was a kid and where I lived at the time, placed it around 1988/89, so I was 2 or 3. I rememberd the clock moving back and forth and animals...throughout my life this would pop in my head but not the music, thanks to the internet I was able to google what I seen and it was this for sure, great song too
