Thanks for the video, just a few niggles for those viewing this and also visiting the Netherlands: The Bossche bol is available all over in the netherlands, but of course 's Hertogenbosch has the best ;-) We're fine with dipping a sausage roll in Ketchup, doesn't matter at all. The stroopwafel is indeed never with anything added...and the Luikse Wafel is from Belgium --> but stroopwafels are much better. The erwten soup you got from 'la place' which is a (very good) but not traditional Dutch chain / despite the French name, should have been gotten at a real Dutch local restaurant. And finally: drinking it with Fristi is a horrible combination to be honoust

Aye, sausage bread is dry, bland and mushy in texture, glad I'm not the only one thinking it's mediocre, haha. Lived in the Netherlands all my life but people swear it's the greatest thing ever and I never got it. You tried some good selections! Hope you try some of the Dutch fried snacks too like kroket/bitterballen, frikandel, kaassoufflé, etc. Funny enough some cross culture dishes are Dutch exclusive, like the 'Chinese' Babi Pangang (pork in a bright red sweet sauce) or the 'Turkish' Kapsalon (döner loaded fries). The most famous home dishes would be the Dutch mashed potatoes like boerenkoolstamppot or hutspot. Always pair it with a traditional Dutch boiled sausage and a demi-glace sauce. Hope you have a good time!

The split pea soup was WAAAAAYYYYY to thin. If made properly, you should be able to cut it with a knife. Else it is garbage, to use a nice word !!! Also it is neither pea soup or Dutch pea soup, but SPLIT PEA soup. The main ingredient is split peas, those are the ones that need several hours in water simply to well. Keep in mind English language comes with culture, thus the naming here is extremely important. (Linguist and polyglot here.)

Same, I am a born and raised Amsterdammer and I started a job in the south two years ago (the commute is not as bad as you'd think; constant reminder of how small the Netherlands really is) and people were so excited for me to try a worstenbroodje and it was the most underwhelming experience I had in years haha! Also kept being told how busy Carnaval was going to be and would I be okay coming into the city and I was prepared for a big struggle, but at the worst moments it was like Kingsday at home but most of the time easy to walk through. I didn't want to break their proud southern hearts by telling them it's worse on an Amsterdam Saturday night in the tourist season than it was during their carnaval. I do love working there and it has opened me up to the rest of the Netherlands in a way I haven't always been. Like I said, born and raised Amsterdammer.

"You can only find bossenbol in den bosch" This is not even close to true. As someone who lives in Breda i get bossenbollen here in any bakery / store. Also as someone that studies in rotterdam you can get them anywhere there. And as someone that goes to zeeland quite often you can ALSO get them in any bakery / store there. So im pretty sure you can get fresh / frozen ones anywhere here. On the friekandellen broodje / worstenbroodje we quite often put mayonaise, no ketchup but mayonaise definitely enhances it. Idk what this girl is saying but even the first two things are wrong.

Bossesche bol you can get everywhere in the netherlands. Worstenbroodje goes very well with curry sauce or mayo. The ertensoep is warmed up mush and looks like crap from a lunch roomchain.

Yeah the sausage the bread is never the good part, but the bread around it soaks up the juices as it bakes and that makes it good. that's why I think I have to make some myself but with a good tasty sauagemix or something, not too much meat, just enough to flavor the bread well.

It is fun to see you eat at different countries. But the pea soup is not right. It is to thin. You must be able to put your spoon in the soup and it must stand up straight. Otherwise the soup is not right.

About the Bosche bol isn't completely true, we got them in North-Holland (and probably the rest of NL ) as well. However they have a different name here called "moorkop" (moorhead) and it usually has some whipped cream and a piece of pineapple on top, however this name is slightly racist as a "moor" is an old Dutch word for a black African person. The name has been changed these days to a chocolate ball or cream head.
