We were their in March of 2023. Loved that both Resorts are right next to each other. We stayed at Royal Barbados in a Swim Up Club Level Room & just loved it. We arrived and the first two days the beach & water were great. On day three onward we had the Seaweed Bloom that hit that side of the island & it was 2 feet deep on the beach & in the water. Could not swim in the ocean. Hopefully a year later it is gone.

Yeah, seaweed can be very unpredictable. Hope you had a great time at the resort!!

My wife and I were married at a Sandals and were hooked on our first trip. Since then we have been to 5 different spots and are booked for the next 2 years at different ones. We have learned a lot and book our own trips and flights. But we have also learned a lot from your Videos and would encourage anyone to watch them, so thank you. Which resort is your favorite and why? Keep in mind we don’t care about butlers or room level as we are only in our room to sleep , but definitely have learned we do not want a street view!!!

Hi! Thanks for tuning into our channel and we appreciate the kind words! That can be a tough one to answer, there are so many great ones. A few of our absolute favorites would be Grenada, Curacao, & Emerald Bay. All for various reason (location, things to do, resort vibe). Grenada is a special island, we love the layout and dining options there as well. We love the updates they've done to some of the Jamaican resorts as well (adding over water bars). As long as the drinks are cold and the service is good, count us in! 🥂☀️🏝️😊

Did you guys have a butler or do you think a butler was needed?

Do you tip as you go there ? Including the butler?
@PenyakTravel Жыл бұрын
Hi Ashley, Sandals has a no tipping policy for their resorts (except for Butlers), however in Barbados it’s required by law to allow tipping. So you can tip anyone at this resort and it’s recommended you tip your butlers at the end of your stay. Hope this helps and thanks for tuning in! ☺️

Hi! Thanks for subscribing to the channel! Yes, all the drinks in our room are included. They are restocked daily which is nice too. No, there are no surprise charges at the end (Sandals doesn’t charge resort fees). Hope this helps!

Other than the rain what was the temp in February?
@PenyakTravel Жыл бұрын
The temp was fine, typical Caribbean weather. The more northern Caribbean islands (Bahamas mostly) can get very slightly chilly in the winter at night and the water could be a tad chilly in the winter months. Thanks for tuning into our channel!

My husband and I are trying to decide between the Barbados location or the Bahamas location. What do you think? i like the idea of the private island at Bahamas but the Barbados has 2 resorts. We are not totally party people but like to have a good time, which would you suggest and why.
@PenyakTravel Жыл бұрын
Hi Barb, thanks for tuning into our channel. Much would depend on your budget, what time of year you are traveling, and a few other factors. Also the two resorts in the Bahamas are very different (Exuma Emerald Bay, and Royal Bahamian). Alot to type on here. Feel free to email Janet and she would be happy to set up time to chat to talk through the differences Janet@PenyakTravel.com (we've been to every Sandals).

Great video, we are going in May and im gonna look into getting my own flights out of Louisiana. They suggested flying in the day before because of the flights get to barbados at 9pm mostly but did see flights the same day arriving at 2 or 3pm. What airline from the south, or what do you recommend as far as flights? Thank you so much.
@PenyakTravel Жыл бұрын
Hey Tony V! Thanks for tuning into our channel and sorry for the delayed response! From the southeast US you should be able to get there same day depending on availability (if flights are full or not). American Airlines probably flies to the Caribbean the most. If you can’t get there same day, I would consider an overnight in Miami and take an early flight of out Miami the following morning. Hope this helps!

My husband and I are going to Sandals Royal Barbados this June for my 30th birthday! I am curious if you booked the fast track at the airport or if you suggest doing so? We always book Mobay in Jamaica but I am curious if the fast track is necessary in Barbados? Thanks in advance!
@PenyakTravel Жыл бұрын
Hi Ashley! Thanks for stopping by our channel and happy early birthday!! We did book it, and it was helpful for us. It will depend on how many flights are landing around yours. It's always nice to have, because you never know how many could be landing at once (other flight delays, etc.). Airlines seem to have more delays today than ever, so you never know. Hope this helps and enjoy your trip!!

Great video guys. I have a question. Those seats that you had in the airplane I’m imagining they are first class seats. Did you take a particular airplane to get those types of seats? Thank you in advance
@PenyakTravel2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for watching! We flew first class on American. We watch the prices and typically snag them if we see a great rate pop up. We fly American a lot because of their frequency to the Caribbean and where we are based. Hope this helps and thanks for tuning into the channel!! ☺️

If you book at sandals Barbados do you also get access to restaurants, pools, bars at Royal Barbados and vise versa all inclusive?
@SteelCityIceBirds Жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s essentially all one resort. Sandals often allows you to shuttle between resorts that are close by and use their facilities as well (St. Lucia/Jamaica).

Hey Bryson! Very exciting! Unfortunately, you cannot add a butler to any room category. You’ll have to book a room category that already has it.
