Yes it reminds me of my younger years too, I took my tractor test at 16 in a massey 135!! Then went to work on a larger farm in cornwall, where they had a leyland, marshall 802, and one of these 2680, and a 675 which was fairly new back then, and I loved and spent many hours on the grass contracts...Happy days 🤔

Something about older engines, sound brill and never hardly revving their guts out, seemed like a lot more torque in mid range compared to these days, great vid 👍

Love these, because that is my real life surname. I think that it's quite possible that I'm very distantly related to the builders. My cousin farms a few acres down south and he's big on Deeres. Doesn't care for Masseys at all. I told him I couldn't see how that could be since he was half one. LOL!

Love this vid ...... takes me back .... problem was the fuel tank, if you had a big implement and short hose or fuel tank in corner of a yard (or mix of all 3) it could be a pain filling up with the filler being at the back of the cab also by 4 o'clock in the afternoon needed a top up .....................after using MF 2000,s for a few seasons and TW,s in the student days.. I think I would go for the TW because 12 / 15 hour days no probs on a full tank and no windy day problems with the big MF doors ....And was it just me? but on a TW at the end of the day when the fuel tank was getting low on hard going you could notice the different in traction
@donaldthomas58522 жыл бұрын
I have 1990 Massey Ferguson 3070 236ci 4 cly Perkins turbo 92hp with a 50 gallon fuel tank with fluid in the rear tires and the loader it weighs 11,500 lbs or more uses an average 3 gallons of fuel an hour . I can run all day on one tank easily. And that's baling hay 4x5's or mowing pulling a 2615L Bushhog 15ft mower that weighs 6,500 lbs by itself. And it has the fuel tank in the back. Which I like because it gives it more traction on the rear wheel for this two wheel drive tractor.
