Field Marshal, looked like he had set the oil in the exhaust pipe on fire. It needs about a day on hard work to blow the cob webs out of it. Would start a bush fire here. Jeff

Put alot of ours in on a 4840 here in tasmania (AUS) towing a 24' wide howard bradshaw field cultivator. With the side windows opened listening to that sound & smelling the freshly worked ground. That is one thing I've noticed with alot of modern tractor is they don't have side or back windows too open to do so!

hello George,seen a Massey 4880 working on an estate ,always love that machine,can you show some countys soon pls.....😀😀😀😀😀
@jefftheaussie22252 жыл бұрын
The two Masseys with the iconic Cummins 903 take the cake. Massey Ferguson and Versatile knew they were building classics, a symphony orchestra on wheels. That plough was making the 4840 bark, didn’t it sound good. If you are going to use too much fuel, that is the way to do it.
@jefftheaussie22252 жыл бұрын
The 903, as lovely as it is, was on the limit of its capability with a turbo at about 350 HP. The 855 Cummins or 14 litres with 6 cylinders had a lot more up its sleeve. The baby one put out 230HP and they could be taken up to about 500HP by mucking around with the PT fuel system and turbos and heads. The NTC 230 had a turbo you can put your head in and was a good thing. Jeff

There has been a handful of these international tractors for sale in Northern Ireland and 2 in Scotland this year none in as good a shape as this one I have been on the hunt for a tractor to work the few hectares I can use but the price of a running but very shabby older equipment is mental over the last 3 years prices have more than doubled and now wish I grabbed the first thing I seen 4 years ago
