Hooking up the bulker, watch your head!

George great video as usual. Just a quick safety point, best practice is to ALLWAYS apply the trailer park brake when disconnecting and not rely on the red line. The reason is when you reconnect IF you have forgotten to apply the tractor handbrake and your outfit is on any sort of slope it will run away as soon as you connect the red line. Many lorry drivers have been killed or seriously injured in this situation. Keep the videos coming George there great and stay safe. Cliff.

a lorry mechanic once told me that it was pointless revving an engine to increase air flow into the air tanks as the compressor only feeds the same amount of air through the system regardless of engine revolutions !!!!???? maybe in the older lorrys this was not the case and you had to keep the revs up to keep a constant supply of air going but not anymore with the newer stuff !

Hi George the pain wasn't funny but the language was more than hilarious. Over here in Canada and the U.S a lot of truckers have a long hook made from 1/2" or so rod they can hook in the end of the 5th wheel lock handle, get there hand on the other end the same as the lock lever eye you hold. Then be further out the side so you don't get under the trailer at all to pull the lock. When they are done they put the handle in the cab or storage box out the way. Maybe it would work on those 5th wheel locks to. Ask OLF he might use them to with his semi trucks.
