It brought back memories when you mentioned older people listening to modern music. I remember my elderly Grandma singing along with pop radio in 1980, "Tired of Toein' The Line" by Rocky Burnette. She was in her 80s & hit the high notes 😮 as it played, as he sang, "Baby Ayyye! Tired of toein' the line". It was very popular song back then. Unforgettable.

I agree with you that this is his best vocal. I loved the whole big shock thing in the beginning, with the audition, and he was great then, but now we are at the finals, and he is even better. I'm a skeptic, actually. However, after all of these songs, I still think he has perfect pitch, which helps with songs like these. I still think he sounds more like Steve than Steve does lol. To add an aside: I voted for the first time on AGT just because of this guy. Last time I voted for anything on these shows was the first season of American Idol with Kelly Clarkson back in the early 2000s. But Richard surprised me and sounded better each time even though you thought he did his best with his audition. He is we need right now

Great reaction video! I was born and raised in the same hometown as Richard, Terre Haute. He is so beloved there and now all over the world. What you see is what you get. He is such an incredible person, as is his fiancee Angie. You should tune into the final show this season when it airs next week. Richard is performing with Journey!!! It is going to be so epic and a dream come true. Can't wait!

It is very touching-shared messages from the kids and staff at his school, plus Neal Schon from Journey telling Richard that he and other members of Journey are returning to the US and will be performing with Richard next week! Neal Schon and his wife have been very supportive of Richard and are sharing info about Richard across their social media accounts. Most importantly, Richard confirmed to Terre Haute’s local media last night that he and his fiancée Angie are getting married today in California. Richard is having an epic week! So happy for him. 🩷

I knew if Richard Goodall sang Faithfully, that he would nail it and he did. You're wrong about the way he was dressed. That's Richard's own humble style. He said he wasn't a "fancy person", and he meant it. I agree about the music industry , it is very dark, and it is devil work in my opinion . I’ve always said that I love the music , but I hate the music biz, and sometime it is a blessing that someone talented not choose that road, and these days there are other independent roads to take , it’s not much money, but yet it’s not someone taking your royalties and even your name because of a contract. And then they are telling what and what not to sing, how to look, and to even do things you would never do.

@@roseprudhomme5136yes, so happy for them! One of the articles I read about Richard told the backstory of how Richard and Angie met after Richard’s first wife tragically passed away from cancer. The article said Faithfully was sung for Angie -it is their song. 🩷
