It's a shame they don't build the Troy frames in Canada like most of their other bikes. I understand why they make the carbon version in Taiwan, but why is the aluminum version made overseas?

this was a pretty good vid, very low key and naturalistic vibe. but, and there always is a but, a bike check is not really worth anything without the stats of the rider. height and weight at least. sometimes pros or other expert and/or experienced riders have sizing and/or setup preferences that are not bog standard, and those insights can be helpful for folks, especially those who are not in the center of the sizing recommendations or necessarily served well by standard ideas of bike fit you get from possibly not so experienced bike shop employees.

How did you get a DHX2 Coil in a 185 x 52.5. I can see that they make the Marzocchi CR in a 185 x 52.5, but the DHX2 only comes in 185 x 55 and I can't find any stroke spacers like the air shocks for the DHX2.

I don’t get how you run 23/25 psi, WITH Cushcore, as a woman, presumably pretty light. I’m 180lbs, running 17/18psi, no Cush, cheap carbon wheels, no problems.

@@ark8tct Exactly, balancing rolling resistance with grip. As a pro racer she probably has a DH bike or two to use for trails where fast rolling is unnecessary. This bike is intended for more diverse trails thus choosing a good middle ground setting that works for various conditions. I'm also heavier without a tire insert and I can safely run lower pressures. What I also am is significantly slower. Another important factor. :'D

Woah, hang on, yanks run their brake levers arse ways?
@frankthetankricard
@frankthetankricard 3 жыл бұрын
That is how everyone runs their brake levers on this godforsaken planet save for some of the countries that drive on the left side of the road. UK is a good example. Probably has some relation to signaling in traffic. Regardless, while there's no right or wrong way, moto style is significantly less common.

@@InterestsparkedTV I have no clue WHY we run levers opposite to motorcycles in NA, but we do. Possibly because it's "easier" for beginners who are all right handed and afraid of the front brake? Bike, E-bike, e-mopeds are all NA brake style. Gas (petrol, eugh) powered everything are moto/euro style regardless of clutch, in my experience.
