Was I the only one pleasantly surprised by the beastly horn on #1800? Definitely didn’t expect to hear that from a GP9!

I've watched this video four days in a row. I'm either bored (snowed in here in Fort Smith, Arkansas), forgot how much I loved woodchip hoppers, or love the videography. All three, actually. Love this one.

When I lived in Garden City, the Rail Link tracks ran practically through my backyard, and the CSX main was a short walk further on. This brings back many memories of hot summer afternoons spent watching trains.

I was bored while going through my recommendations when I saw 'GC and woodchip hoppers'. "We got a winner!!" I love them monster Greenville woodchip hoppers. I have 6 of them in HO scale, 4 KCS & 2 AN (Appalachian Northern).

I'm amazed at how sketchy a lot of these tracks are. I guess I'm used to seeing super smooth well maintained Class 1 tracks in my south Georgia/Northeast Florida area. Excellent video and camera work as usual. I'm hoping to make it up to my hometown of Swainsboro,GA soon and shoot some footage of perhaps the saddest railroad tracks in existence. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Those tracks in Swainsboro still see trains twice a week, believe it or not. Went and photographed them last week.

Mid day about the same time as the wood chip train goes through Alabama Junction. The CSX trains are probably q410/412 and q491. You probably just missed q197 doubling up. Great video, it is always great to see local rail fanning make it to a national outlet.

@@TheChaosJohnson remains to be seen. HOG has received the short end of the stick when it comes to power but with the addition of another GP38-2 to the four already over there... 1800 is probably going to be the backup unit, with 1713 unfortunately probably going to be retired and scrapped.

Owned by GPA, the state of GA. And is protected by a few enforcement groups under Homeland Sec. Where he filmed the transfer coming into the port is on port property, and was likely told to move very quickly. Notice when filming the port job swinging out of the port, his filming location changed to a public road.
