Kirby is not about style points or fluff. It was obvious Kirby measured his game plan in this game. It was never in doubt. He kept his key players on the sideline to be healthy for Bama. He is like a chess player - always thinking 7 plays ahead. It was a frustrating game to watch - we left points on the field. But, as we have all year, we do what we have to do to win. Next week, if we're healthy, we will do well.

The yellar jackets did themselves proud! They came on the field to win like I hoped they would. Made a damn good showing of themselves and left the field with some pride I hope! Our Dawgs sent much bigger opponents to their lockers with their tails between their legs in humiliation. Even more they exposed weaknesses our boys have that hopefully they take with them in the games to follow! GO DAWGS!!!! Time to Roll the Tide!!!

@@brad4687 correct. And that shotgun triple option is extremely hard to defend with 1 week prep. I think the coaches knew they could play smash mouth, rest the injured, and win. Turnovers and refs just made it a little more lively late in game, but never in doubt.

GT’s coaches did a great job preparing them offensively. The players just couldn’t execute at a high level for 4 straight quarters t a much more talented defensive unit. When it comes to UGA’s offense right now the only thing that can stop them is themselves

You can’t say “refs kept them in it” when the calls were all right. Ineligible downfield was right The incompletion on the big 3rd down throw to Bell was right. Just like the ball hitting the ground and it not being an interception on UGA’s 2nd drive was right. GT’e coaches came up with an excellent game plan to attack the UGA defense and the players executed well. Stop making excuses for a 8 point night game victory on the road

“I don’t talk about officiating… we knew this crew was going to penalize more, play closer. More fouls, more holding… it just seemed like we got those calls at inopportune times” That’s as much “complaining” about the refs as Kirby will give you, and he rarely does that much. Loved Kirby's comment about "not commenting" on the officiatting. What the f is an ACC officiating crew "solely" officiating this game in the first place? Should be neither SEC or ACC crew officiating. Although I wouldn't want to go through that cluster we endured at the Peach Bowl last year with those Pac 12 pukes! OSU should have been charged with "assault" on some of the holding calls they had, especially at crunch time at the end of the game! Yes, officiating is not up to par these days. A real shame when it effects game outcomes.
@darngooddawg8 ай бұрын
The ACC ref Tim Hedgepeth threw multiple sketchy flags on Georgia (the illegal downfield flag on SVP was BS that pulled 7 points off the board) and they missed a blatant late hit / unsportsmanlike flag that should have been thrown on Georgia's Marvin Jones Jr. The interception by Beck was after the BS illegal downfield call on a tipped bowl. The holding call on the quick pass to Delp was another BS call. Tim Hedgepath would have fit right in with those awful PAC 12 refs. Hope he isn't referring anyone's bowl game, especially the playoffs or Natty. Greg McElroy saw both those calls and the sketchy calls were called out by McElroy and Sean McDonough
