I went to a museum in California in 1979 to see an exhibit called The Dinner Party, put together by Judy Chicago. Georgia had a plate at this weird mixed media exhibit! That was my first time for learn about her work! Our art club in Mississippi planned the trip to the exhibit or I would have never been able to travel that far for an exhibit.

Thanks, Rachel, for compiling these photos of O'Keefe's work. If you ever have a chance, you should visit the O'Keefe Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, it's quite a treat......lots of wonderful work there.

Those nudes are quite simple yet the skill to play with the colors inside the boundary of the flesh is quite amazing. 🙏🏼😊

I am signed up for your newsletter, Rachel. This is how I found the link to this. How wonderful and thank you for sharing the archive. Your presentation video is lovely. I needed these words. I needed to hear that marks on inexpensive paper are free. I needed to hear someone as inspiring as Georgia struggled with finding her visual language, as I am feeling right now.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! You might enjoy my other video I put out in early January too. I'll try to get you a link. It's all about making the art priority fun, not perfection.
