Yep, we know the smell of burnt transmission oil. Happened to us on one of our trips with our camper on. A very rememberable 50th B-Day for him and expensive one too!

Sorry to hear you had to do the same thing! That is terrible. I should have my truck back in operation in another week or so. The shop called a couple days ago and got the "go ahead" to start once they had located the parts. Thank you!!!

I don’t even own any screwdrive D type lenses anymore, but if Nikon would make this adapter, I would still buy one and then invest in a few tasty vintage D lenses.

Did you finally change your avatar photo??? I wondered how long you would keep the other one. LOL. I figured you would still have some of them, then again you have been thinning the herd too.

I can highly recommend the D700 for Af-d lenses, KEH has one for sale I think - colours of the camera are amazing

That is what I have heard and I will probably go that route as I can get one pretty cheap and it comes with a little bit of a warranty too.

If you want to go old school, try the nikon D80! It's with the last ccd sensor (like the d200), so images are great, it's small and light, but it's dx. You won't regret spending the 100 or so dollar, I promise.

I am wanting that full frame goodness...for no particular reason to be honest. I probably should look at the D80 and see what I am missing. Thank you for the suggestion.

i'm waiting for the Viltrox E to Z mount adapter. using Sony FE lenses on the Zf. in autofocus. the flange distance on the Zf is 2mm shorter. let you know how it works. 😀

I have seen that as an option and have wondered how it would work, I am guessing it will work really well, but you never know...
