I studied at GSU in the IEP program . I really enjoyed the university. I loved the buildings and also i loved atlanta. I hope to visit Atlanta in the future

raffi minassian It is not considered an HBCU . It is one of the most diverse universities out there with the main population being black.

It’s not an HBCU. But due to its diverse student body it is known as a majority-minority school. Which means that the minorities are the majority in the student body

Is it safe in GSU and Atlanta downtown?

sg bookworm yes, I personally live on campus & I feel safe as long as you are aware of your surroundings and you aren't alone at night. There have been occasions when I am walking from the library late at night and I've been fine. I love the city but you just have to be cautious just like you would in any other city. There's also campus resources we can use to feel even safer if need be. Hope this helps!
