One of my favourite new drainage channels going, this one was especially interesting with it being an unusual job! I can’t see the outlet being connected to a soakaway with it being really close to the boundary as otherwise it would keep filling back up and overflowing. Chances are it will have definitely been connected into the storm drain out in the road but there might have possibly been displacement in the pipe as it was evident that you were hitting something. Either way, it was well worth the watch and I’ll look forward to the next one! Keep it up matey 👍🏻

Thank you so much for your kind comment Tmmy. I did check in the street but that pond is so old any signs of a connection are long gone. In hindsight I would have liked to of slipped the camera in and had a peek. Lots of hind sight when you have videos to look back at 😂 there was at least 2 or 3 displacements I managed to get over with a twist of the hose but like you say it could have been another I just couldn’t get over. The last one also seemed to be where the blockage was. Thanks for watching and your input is awesome. See you in the next rooty mess in 22.

Another good video. Any plans to do an introduction / question-and-answer video? Reading through the comments you have been doing this work for about a year and recording video for a couple of months. I am a little curious how you got into this line of work, if you don't mind sharing. Cheers from Minneapolis Minnesota.

Hi Arty. Thanks for another really cool comment and awesome that you read through the comments. I have been doing video for a few months and i decided to go self employed a year ago although i did do drainage employed before that along side bathroom fitting and renovation work. i developed arthritis in my solders and now knees and started to find it hard and painful to do the work i was doing except from the drainage side. one day i lost my mind with the demands of the work i was doing, quit my job and went solo. i was taken in by someone that offered really good money the very next day and i saved and saved until i could afford my first bit of second hand machinery, this got me started and i built from there. this is now 1 year after that first machine starting from nothing. i now have a van and better kit and now you guys here that i absolutely adore. if you think an intro and story/ Q&A is worth doing maybe i could set that up for the 1K subs mark?

@@Elbows-Deep A milestone of 1K/10K/100K subscribers sounds good, or if you start getting too many questions to reply back individually, you may find it easier to answer them in a video. Whatever works for you. I think you are doing a pretty good job of this KZbin thing. Regards.

Seems like you could have pumped directly from the pond non-stop, rather than waiting for the pit to fill…

Hi @FresN8. i appreciate your keen observation and your kind comment. You are absolutely right, we could have used a different approach. However, there was a heavenly net covering the entire pond and we didn’t want to ruin its divine beauty by making a hole in it. But alas, fate had other plans. When it was too late, we spotted a hole in the net that we could have used. It was like a mocking wink from the universe. Thank you so much for pointing out our missed opportunity and for being so generous with your feedback. They are very welcome and very helpful. Take care and keep commenting. 🙂

Dude... get a tripod, I'm nauseous lol You need an RS38, what psi are you running?
@Elbows-Deep
@Elbows-Deep 10 ай бұрын
Sorry about that Jamie, I have the tripod but it was getting dark and I would have been constantly moving it, the shutter speed slowed right down due to lighting making it more shaky. Isn’t the rs38 from Australia, was thinking about the reaper, it’s very much the same but smaller in size. I don’t have a lot of money in the business so getting nice things is taking time, only been running just over a year and started with nothing to my name. Every day brings a lesson and people like you are a big help with the advice you give, bear with me and I will get better at KZbin. I use a second hand machine that runs 2.6k psi at 31Lpm it has a 60m 3/8 main hose and I have a reel that’s 30m 1/4. I think the nozzle size is 11 or 12. The smaller jetter is 3.6k psi at 15lpm and was my first jetter. I now only use it if I can’t get close enough with the van. It has a portable 50l tank and in a size 4 jet.

😣 - aaaarrrr, one of the ills of wearing a head camera that you forget that if you need to jerk your body up “n” down ~ your head and the “camera” will follow, causing unpleasant footage motion, should have mounted it to a static tripod and not your head

Normally it’s ok but because it was getting dark the shutter speed slows down and there is less stabilisation. My bad and hind site hurts

Why do you not open a nearby drain and insert it down there rather than putting water in street which would have nasty bugs algae and other organisms which could affect animals that pass ie cats and dogs if they lick it.
@Elbows-Deep
@Elbows-Deep 10 ай бұрын
There was no nearby drain in reach. The water was just pond water, also it was raining and it was the best option I had to send it down the storm drain just down the road. I’m sure cats and other animals drink from ponds just like this everyday plus by the time the rain had stoped and they had a chance to get out there it would have washed away by the time of rain we were having. I’m sure this was the best option I had available to me. Thank you for voicing your concern tho and I will absolutely consider this in the future should I find myself in a similar situation and a drain is close enough to use.

I love watching drain videos but your videos seem to have little content on drain clearing and more on you and everything around you. I would like to see less of you on camera and more focused on drain unblocking.

Hi Beck. Thank you for your feedback. I Like to try explain whats happening and what im doing and also create a relationship with the viewers. it just how i naturally do it. im still very new to making videos having only turned on a camera a little over 4 months ago, im learning and trying hard. Im sure in time i will naturally talk less and i wont feel the need to but at the moment if i dont, i get a lot of questions that would have been answered otherwise.
