Happy Birthday, Georgie Fame! You've been our combo's mentor few years ago in Slovenia, Kranj on Jazz Camp Kranj. Thank you big time for your patronage. Greetz. Awards winning harmonica player, Robert

Great tunes, great band, great days at the Flamingo. This is the cannon of Soho American fusion fashioned in the early sixties. The original Blue Flames had the groove but later bands - with Guy Barker, Pete King and Surman rocked Ronnies. Suave, knowledgeable and soulful. Thank you Mr Powell. Johnny

Leigh's greatest export after Rugby League. Apparently George (or Clive Powell) was a brilliant second row forward and a lot of clubs were looking at him when he was a kid....thank God he chose music instead. Speaking personally? I love the man. He looked like George Best, a brilliant musician and a lovely man. What's not to hate?

And just listen to Dick Morrisey. I was lucky enough to watch him before he passed. The Morrissey/Mullen band was a live experience that I pity those who missed it.

Georgie Fame Fans may be interested to know he was a special Guest at The Richard Thompson Show (w/full Band) in SF at The Fillmore Auditorium 11-8-24 for the (5±) Encore Set on Vocals & Harmonica. At 75(RT) & 81(GF) they were in fine shape. At a SWAP on 11-10-24 I heard Fame is Van's Keyboard Player. That makes sense as Van Lives on the other side (N) of the GG Bridge.

First time seeing ans listening to Georgie Fame. I heard his music courtesy of Van Morrison. I bought his album performing Georgie Fame's songs. This video is also my first time seeing Dick Morrisey as well. As a long saxophone player this is the best! Much appreciated from the USA!

I've rediscovered Georgie and am loving the music, carefully noting all the chords so I can try them on guitar. Yeh Yeh's a good one - Georgie even plays guitar to it on at least one KZbin clip.
