This episode made me cry because this was the first time we’ve seen Georgie AND Missy talking with George’s gravestone. When it came to good parenting, George was MVP since he was there for all of Missy and Georgie’s moments throughout the run of Young Sheldon. Mary has been MIA when it comes to Missy and since George died, she has been neck deep in her religion to the point that it’s unhealthy and it’s obvious that she’s not handling things well. Seeing Georgie having a panic attack was terrifying as well as how this episode covered so many topics especially anxiety. This is Georgie being put under pressure trying to keep everything stable and again this episode is like a callback to the Big Bang Theory. We witness Missy having her dumb teenage moments and lord knows Mary wasn’t around to help. Georgie is a GOOD Brother, Husband, and a Father he’s doing the best that he can.

saw a few comments bringing up adult georgie’s quote from big bang theory about how in the wake of george’s passing “mom was a mess, missy was a dumb teenager, i had to look after both of them” and that is definitely a bit of what we’re seeing here, but i also think on top of this he has the promise he made to his dad at his funeral hanging over him: “you don’t need to worry, i’ve got everything under control. i won’t let you down dad.” yes he might also want to look strong in front of others, but more importantly he may feel like by showing struggle, he is disappointing his late father and in turn feeling like a failure of a son by not being fulfilling.

In tbbt , Sheldon gets congratulations messages from his family including Georgie’s ex wife and his second ex wife, clearly 2 different people, so if he married 3 times then Mandy may also be his 3rd ex wife or he is still married to her. Also the first marriage could refer to each of their first marriages, as in they get remarried after a divorce but to different people.

Yeah that's how I interpret the title of the series as well. That in all likelihood Georgie and Mandy will get divorced, but then later get back together and remarry, with Georgie having a second wife in between.

I’m so glad the anxiety topic was covered, It was a time when anxiety wasn’t really acknowledged all that much, so Georgie thinking the doctor was out of his mind was actually accurate, we forget sometimes that anxiety wasn’t always taken as seriously as it is today, I mean just 10 to 15 years ago I remember my teachers in high school not understanding that I had severe anxiety, they thought I was just acting out, turns out I had severe anxiety. So I’m proof that people didn’t used to take anxiety as seriously as they do today.

I really do hope you continue this show; I admit that it feels like they are trying to force a combo of both previous series’ style. Then again I’m still giving it time. This episode felt too short yet it really had a huge impact on a personal level. It was bittersweet to see both Georgie and Missy having their own struggles to cope with the aftermath of George’s death. I definitely appreciate the fact that Mandy showed us how much she loved and cared for Georgie in the moment she learned of his panic attack regardless of what happened prior as she knew he needed to vent and be assured and comforted. Jim is honestly the show’s MVP as he sympathizes with Georgie and is trying so hard to make Audrey see reason to be more supportive instead of the toxic person she is. Seriously, she’s worse than Mary and literally makes her like a saint. 🥺🥹😭🤧❤️

I have to say tha I do agree with you. When I first started the show I didn't know what to think, and tbh I'm with you on the intro thing. It's a bit weird, very interesting choice. Personally not something I'd choose but you know. But I like how they're bringing meemaw and mary and missy into it a little bit. I was worried that we wouldn't get to see them. But I'm interested to see where this show goes plot wise. So far, My favorite characters are Jim and Georgie. The show has potential tho so we will see. Hopefully they don't ruin Serious moments with the laugh track. I was worried about the laugh track ruining it.

When Sheldon wins the Nobel prize he receives text messages from family congratulating him and he says he got a message from Georgie’s wife, Georgie’s ex wife, and Georgie’s other ex wife. Though I’m usually picky on prequels staying canon, i wouldn’t mind Georgie marrying Mandy multiple times, I’ve grown quite attached to her ❤️

I like Mandy, but I think there will be more than one wife in Georgies life. In The Big Bang Theory, when Sheldon and Amy got the message to have won the Nobel Prize, Sheldon told Amy that he got a lot of text messages from his family...from his sister, from his brother, from his brother´s first wife and from his brother´s second wife. I think those are two different persons. The first one must have been Mandy and perhaps he remarried her but there must be at least one other woman sending a message to Sheldon, I think.
