My partner and I had a terrible Christmas day. Our cat had to be put to sleep. The day was full of tears. Our cat became so ill as he was dealing with kidney disease, anemia and an infection. His body weight has been dropping so much after the last three weeks. The vet was giving different medication to fight the respiratory infection. Our cat became weak Christmas Eve, but was worse Christmas Day and when he threw up brown bloody bile I couldn't bare to see him suffer anymore and he was rushed to an emergency vet. She told us that our cat is definitely dying and it was around £400 for the consultation and to put him to sleep. We couldn't let him suffer. We lost our cat Cindy last year she was 17 to illness, then Jesse this March she was 20 and now Billy who was 15. We got him Christmas Eve 2009 and he died Christmas day 2024. We didn't have any Christmas Dinner and opened gifts at 11.40pm. Such a devastating loss. He was a beautiful, kind natured cat and my partner buried him today (boxing day).😢😢
