I have a kml file with the lat long data (polygons) and a separate excel file with data associated with the polygons. The polygons and the excel data share common place names corresponding with each other. Is there a way to merge the excel data to the corresponding polygons?

I got "No FEATURE ON FILE" after importing. Maybe because I use UTM system.

i dont understand the data format of latitude and longitude please give me some brief????

Latitude and longitude are shown as decimal degrees. Longitude is negative because the locations are west of the Prime Meridian. Latitude is positive because the locations are north of the equator.
