I like to add jumbo batteries to geothermal power plants, the heat they give off is recaptured as power and it increases the overall power storage to silly levels. Its kinda like putting buffer tanks in your water tank, but for power!

In the geothermal power plant, there is a metal tile touching an insulated tile, not sure if its problem. If you do remove it, make sure you also move the liquid vent so you don't ruin the liquid lock. Btw I've been watching the series since ep 1 and want to say I love your content and have learnt alot from it.

My (hopefully accurate) understanding of ONI says that shouldn't be a problem. Normally, heat moves between two tiles using an average of their thermal conductivity (Which is why you need two tiles of abyssalite to stop heat - one tile transfers heat at half the rate of whatever its touching). The specific function of insulated tiles (and pipes) is that they only use their own thermal conductivity when considering heat transfer - which is why you only need one tile thick insulation, and why that tile won't transfer heat with the metal tile. Temperature shift plates work differently, and I admittedly don't know what exactly they do.

in a steam room you have temp shift plates to, well, distribute temperature, right? i have recently tried using conveyor belts with diamond on it, that worked great for me! because it doesn't use raw minerals that might be an option here aswell?

Edit: I suggest naming on of the rockets "Potential Disaster". Seems fitting. :D 18:17 Oh, I've done it plenty of times. This is why I set up CO2 sensors along with an Automated Notifier. if CO2 hits a certain point and stays there for 60 seconds, the Automated Notifier pauses the game and zooms into the problem area. This has saved me multiple times now. I get to working on one planet and forget that another planet is 95% functional. Well, that's means it's 5% NOT functional. CO2, water sensors, heat sensors... the whole works. Something goes terribly, terribly wrong (as things do in ONI), and I'm told about it before it becomes a disaster. On the other hand, I kinda enjoy seeing you in panic mode. So, I hope you completely ignore my comment. ;D

If you want to extend the series then create an infinite farm for all the basic resources, well, you have done it for metals already, also do it for food and air. maybe you can do that on different asteroids and send them to the main one. I would love to see one for coolant infinite farm. And also maybe upgrade the main planetoid with thermium or the new material from the new update.

0:37 I looked at this, and realised something slightly worrisome. When we start firing those rockets, they're going to be conducting heat. I think they'll be melting and/or evaporating those pipes and wires right below them, but there might also be just barely enough atmosphere from venting the oxygen into space for it to melt the plastic ladder here.

I use rovers to build inside lava because they can handle the heat. As long as they don't melt, they're fine. Since they're made of steel, lava isn't an issue for them.

just made a version without chiptuning. instead of supercoolant & nafta I used oil and polluted water. works like a charm.(the themps are getting close even tough I'm using steel and 8 steamturbines and 1 aquatuner 50C to spare. thx for the vid

For harvesting energy from the rockets I think you'd be better off with a steam room rather than a steel heat spike, due to waters crazy thermal capacity and abundance. But you could always put a heat spike that goes through the steam room though that seems a bit inefficient.

Just a quick suggestion, but you don't need 2 liquid oxidizer tanks for your second and third rockets. With liquid oxygen you need a 4:1 ratio of fuel to oxidizer, so the 450kg you get from one oxidizer tank can support 1800kg from two fuel tanks. I am uncreative with rocket names, so I'd like to throw support behind other people who've suggested the Three Stooges.
