When it comes to deleting the zombie spores you should dig to the sporchid with 1 tile between you and the plant and plant a wheezewort or 2 and they will destroy all the germs very quickly and then you can just dig the tile under the sporchid when there are no more germs.

Personally I like to place the Wheezeworts in planter boxes placed on top of Airlock doors and they're gonna set to open when the Materials Research is full so the Wheezeworts don't continue consuming the phospotite they're already been given the the radiation immediately stops. This way you can put them in a room along with the MR Station and just grant access when the station is full of rad bolts. :3

Why do you aim to chill the copper sitting on the rail using the aquatuner??? The Aquatuner TAKES power to chill the copper only to transfer the heat to the steam and thus to the turbines. If you have the copper give the energy to the steam directly that should be more efficient shouldn't it???

You asked why it keeps defaulting to steel. I believe it defaults to the metal that you have the most of... Which in your case is steel.

Beginner question: What's the point with the forth hydrogen generator in the SPOMs? The components of the SPOM only use 7 * 240 + 4 * 120 = 2160 Watts of power, and since each generator makes 800 Watts of power, that can be produced by 3 generators (2400 W)...

I think the water may be coming from polluted water turning into steam in the metal refinery. I used to have that problem when having a temporary setup in a slime biome. I have since moved to building my temporary metal refinery in a cold biome. The dupes doesn't like it, but it lasts much longer.

Hey Echo ! @ 18:35 you don't need hydro sensor to shut off the vent for the water tank, they will overpressure, just be sure the vent location is under the top of the tank max water line. If this was petroleum you would definitely need it though @ 21:00 Another way to delete heat is using Arbor trees using some interesting mechanics posted by Luma plays. You could save some time for your dupes by opening all your doors that divide your rooms, namely bathrooms bedrooms and kitchen, etc. I think the " sealed" food storage in the kitchen is much easier when you're only focusing on a single food type, it gets complicated when you're doing multiple different foods because of the issue with sweeper reach being able to access the different stations. I've thought about the idea of having separate kitchens setup for a specific food type thus eliminating the compactness necessary having everything so close with multi foods and one kitchen. and with a long run of cooling it would make sense to cool a few spots of " sealed " food not just one. multiple grills add no more power used, just requires more space. Play hard!

You can quickly take care of those zombie spores with a weeze wort. The radiation will remove the germs in no time. Also very effecient for removing germs in slime. 😊

18:28 I know this is super nitpicky of me, but I stopped using hydro sensors on water tanks a while ago. If you put the liquid vent in the tile below the level you want the tank to be it'll overpressure if anything enters the tile above. I realize it's only saving like 35 kg of refined metal but somehow in my engineer brain it makes sense as a productivity effort.

I know this is probably a waste but I've been building my puft ranch under my spom with extra airflow tiles so they get the pure oxygen.

In regards to kitchen placement: I typically like to place my kitchens above my great halls, so dupes can quickly get their food and then drop down the fire pole to get to their dinner tables. I like to do the same thing with their beds underneath so that they can at least save commuting time resting.

Thank you for your videos. I have 1000 hours into the game, have tried to watch hundreds of tutorials, but never had the patience. After watching few of your videos I'm finally progressing in the game, where before I always got stuck in the late game either because of lack of food, oxygen, power or water.
