Во вторник (22 октября) Герде сделали операцию по стерилизации. Матку пришлось удалить. Сейчас она восстанавливается, чувствует себя хорошо🙏

GUYS!!!! Her uterus started to have some changes due to the fact that Gerda was not reproducing. It's a widely-spread feline problem... Last time they have noticed some minor changes and thankfully it was progressing very slowly, but eventually it would have caused major problems for our girl. So it was decided it would be safer for her to have the uterus removed. The surgery took place on Tuesday. Gerda is doing great - she is being careful, eating nicely, showing off her apron in the yard and purring like nothing happened =)

Oh my goodness, I can't even say how happy I am about Gerda's surgery having gone well and that the problem has been solved. She wasn't able to produce babies so that was the cause for the surgery. I understand that it is a common problem for cats who don't have babies and I wish that it could no longer be a problem for any of the animals who don't produce offspring. But in any case, I'm very happy Gerda is well and loved by Masha and Sasha. By the way, I am so greatly appreciative that you two have Gerda and Messi in your lives and that you two are professionals at everything you do for your great big amazing kitties. ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊

Poor Gerdushka. . 2 years ago I was under anesthesia just like her for 2/hours kidney stone. . From that respirator tub down my throat for a week I was hoarse. I hope that won’t affect her beautiful,relaxing strong purr❤❤❤❤

GT may not be very clear so just in case: doctors were concerned about her uterus looking unwell and would likely cause problems later on, so they decided to remove it while it's not yet an emergency. This is a common issue with cats of all sizes. Other people in the comments said she seems to be doing well at this moment, walking around the yard in the apron, purring as she always does.
