What happened? Except for the head, all movements of this lioness look completely disturbed, especially those of the hind legs. Was this lioness still stunned or what? If not, then this lioness needs more than just grass under her paws. The hind legs or the pelvis seem to be damaged. A cripple, but grass under his paws? I don't mean caution and restraint in the new environment. I mean the apparently disturbed movement sequences and interaction of muscles and joints. I have animals myself and know what it looks like normally. Even if an animal is cautious, frightened or reserved in a new environment. This means that the interaction of muscles and joints is completely independent of this. What we see here, especially concerning the hind legs, is a bit fishy. It breaks my heart that a majestic creature, that is respected/feared in the wild is scared of the open air and grass. 🦁🌄😢💔

Shame on anyone involved in making a wild being have a fear of their natural surroundings. And thank you both for saving here from them.

Exactly - and all who go to zoos and circuses which enslave these beautiful creatures and enable their abuses to continue.

She feels familiar with it, she's lived her whole life in there. She'll go back out when she's ready, and get more comfortable with it. It's a process.

If this poor lioness would have been left alone with her pride she would not be going through this. In order to get their hands on her they had to have killed her parents. The lion is there to protect the lionesses and the Cubs this is really sad to see a beautiful creature afraid of grass. If you want to see these exotic creatures as they're called save your money and take a trip to Africa were you will see them roaming free and in the wild.

Worth it…And she’ll be back out at her pace/her time/her comfort zone. Give her 6 months and she’ll be this confident Queen of her territory.

Poor girl. I love how they come in sick, wounded and abused and you heal them and give the best possible life to live. One day humans will stop enslaving the wild things and leave them free.

I went to the Kyiv Zoo in 2018. They tried, but it the gorilla was alone and in a little glass room. It looked so alone and miserable
